Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Brian Chen, MD, is a board-certified general and vascular surgeon, who brings more than 20 years of experience to Surgical Associates of Richmond. Dr. Chen earned his medical doctorate from Emory University School of Medicine, followed by an internship in general surgery at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. He then completed General Surgery training at Medstar Georgetown-Washington Hospital Center, where he served as administrative chief resident, and Vascular Surgery training at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Prior to medical school, Dr. Chen graduated summa cum laude from Georgia Institute of Technology, with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering. Biography: Apurva Trivedi, DO, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in vascular and endovascular surgery affiliated with Surgical Associates of Richmond. Dr. Trivedi is originally from Salem, Virginia, and earned his medical degree at Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg. He then completed general surgery residency training at Geisinger Health System in Pennsylvania where he was recognized as resident teacher of the year. He then completed his vascular surgery fellowship at Jobst Vascular Institute in Toledo, Ohio. In addition, he completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of Michigan. Dr. Trivedi is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and board-eligible in vascular surgery.
