He took the time to explain why I needed a crown. I was surprised at how quick and painless the process ended up being.

Lack of experience. My first filling @ 32 was messed up so badly I now need a root canal & crown. This was after 2 fillings of my husband's were messed up by Dr. Prestwich in the same year; both of which resulted in root canals and $$$ crowns for my husband (not to mention the pain & agony.) We are NOT happy campers. Sally is a fantastic hygienist, but all others in the office are far from compassionate or helpful. They also require you to pay in extra for "white fillings" rather than silver.
