Not responsive for emergencies
I have been a patient with Dr Thomas for years. I did keep my regularly scheduled cleaning visits. She did my 1st and hopefully only root canal 2 years ago. This week I developed excruciating pain in my root canal when I was out of state. I called the emergency line and asked for a phone call. She would only text that she couldn’t see what was going on without seeing me - I was in NH with my flight scheduled in 2 days. I did get in to see her the afternoon of my flight back to MO. She took X-ray (couldn’t see anything) and gave me 2 options - 1. Pull tooth 2. Send me to root canal specialist for evaluation. I picked option 2. Specialist found she’d missed a canal. And I had infection under it. I feel like she ignored me when I needed her most. An antibiotic prescription when I called the emergency phone line about my excruciating pain may have saved me from having debilitating pain for a week. Fortunately I did get scheduled for a root canal re-do in the specialist office.

Thought I wanted to switch dentists to this office. The person I spoke to was rude and talked in circles not actually answering any questions. After that I decided to research the ratings. This definitely does not sound like a place for someone with dental anxiety or needs a bedside manor. I’ll stay with where I am at! I don’t need that extra stress with a dentist whose office is filled with cold people. Patients beware!

I’ve never had a long wait at Dr Thomas’ office. Staff are friendly and Dr Thomas is always professional and seems to know dentistry well.

My last visit was for my semi-annual check-up, cleaning and for a badly chipped tooth. When I explained my last dentist (out-of-state) had previously repaired the tooth with an epoxy resin 6 years ago, Dr Thomas' response left me feeling that she either felt I didn't know what I was talking about or was mistaken. She stated my previous visits to her had not noted any previous damage/repair to the tooth. Her recommedation was to wait until my next 6 month visit. Not satisfactory for me.

Great doctor with good skills and communication. Only downside is the front desk staff that have not be easy to deal with in every aspect ( professional courtesy, friendliness, assistanting with paperwork etc) it is upsetting and makes me wish that I haven't came here. I have never encountered such in any other clinic.

When employed in a helping profession, compassion and kindness are required job skills. My first visit and introduction to Dr. Thomas left me feeling worse than before my visit. She was totally disinterested in me as a person. She talked over me to the Hygienest, making notes about my teeth as if I wasn'' even there. She discounted my questions and concerns, and she was able to say it all in a condescending and harsh way that just made me feel bad. I found her very unpleasant and uncaring.

Great office appeal, gentle and thorough, while the pace of the visit was fast and efficient. She breezed through our family of three's morning appointments while being the ONLY person in the office the Monday after Christmas. She was amazing with our three year old, I would definitely recommend her for young patients and families.
