Beware New Doctor
I received great service from Dr. Arrigo for 25 years but things are different now under the new owner Dr. Anast. I went in for a teeth cleaning and exam and before either took place I was told that Dr Anast wanted me to get X rays (no problem had been diagnosed at that point). I explained that I have hypothyroidism (under-active thyroid) and my doctor said to avoid X rays unless absolutely necessary. He also stated that all of the collars placed around the neck are not wide enough to block the radiation. He also said that more radiation would increase risk of thyroid cancer. After a 5 minute discussion with Dr Anast the hygienist told me that she still wanted me to get X rays because of the “liability” issues. I volunteered to sign a release but my offer was rejected. Dr Anast is more concerned about her liability insurance premium than my health, or maybe she just wanted to generate extra revenue $
