She then moved to the USA and completed her Masters of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University in 2010, where her research was focused on head and neck cancers. Dr. Verma graduated w/ a Doctorate in Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in 2014 from The UPENN w/ honors in community service and an induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Honorary Dental Society. She also won the International College of Dentists (ICD) Student Leadership Award, Program for Advanced Standing Student (PASS) Dentist Award, Colgate Research Scholarship Award, and fellowship award in Academic Dental Careers Fellowship Program (ADCFP) by the ADA (American Dental Association). She completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the prestigious National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research in 2017. At NIH, she worked w/ patients w/ rare craniofacial disorders and syndromes. She also volunteered her time with the Operation Smile and Smile Train mission for cleft and craniofacial disorders. From 2017-2021 Dr. Verma completed her OMFS training at the Univ. of Cincinnati. She also served as the Chief Resident from 2020-2021. Her training included general anesthesia/sedation, including a pediatric anesthesia rotation at the distinguished Cincinnati Children™s Hospital, dentoalveolar/implant surgery, orthognathic/corrective jaw surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, pathology, and trauma surgery. Dr. Verma has been heavily involved in craniofacial research, having presented several abstracts and posters, and was published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Verma believes in taking excellent care of her patients to provide optimum outcomes. Patient safety and comfort are of utmost priority for her.
