Dr. Hassan is one of the first physicians to start performing Nuchal Translucency and first trimester screening in the Washington Metropolitan area. He was awarded one of the first certificates for performing Nuchal Translucency by the Fetal Medicine Foundation in London, England. Additionally, he is certified by the Nuchal Translucency Quality Review Program (NTQR) of the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine in the USA. Dr. Hassan serves as Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, The American Medical Association, The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Hassan is a known international speaker in the field of Maternal Fetal Medicine and has participated in many international conferences and workshops for physicians. He is known for his expertise in fetal echocardiography and fetal doppler.
