Dr. Stoler received her undergraduate degree in 1999 from the University of Michigan, where she majored in biology, graduated with honors and was also selected as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She attended medical school at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate in Brooklyn and graduated magna cum laude in 2003. Dr. Stoler was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society as a junior medical student, which allowed her to serve as treasurer of the society. While at SUNY Downstate, Dr. Stoler also did basic science research on keratinocytes (skin cells) and the production of nitric oxide. Dr. Stoler completed her Dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital, Illinois, in 2007. At Cook County she cared for a diverse patient population, saw a wide range of diseases, and had an extensive hands-on experience. She has been an active member of the Chicago Dermatology Society, presenting on laser therapy, vasculitis, and other case reports. Dr. Stoler joined AboutSkin after practicing for 4 years in a large dermatology group in metropolitan Chicago. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
