Daniel Lerman, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the care of patients with benign and malignant tumors of the bone and soft tissue. His clinical expertise includes limb-sparing surgery, sarcoma surgery, and the treatment of complex musculoskeletal conditions, such as pathologic fractures, amputee care, and complex total joint reconstructions.Dr. Lerman earned his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and then a fellowship in Orthopedic Oncology at the University of Utah™s Huntsman Cancer Institute. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles, reviews articles and book chapters on the topics of sarcoma therapy and metastatic bone disease. He continues to present his research at national and international conferences. Dr. Lerman is engaged in multiple national research projects and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Musculoskeletal Tumor Society and Connective Tissue Oncology Society. He reviews scientific articles for Journal of Surgical Oncology and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research.In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Lerman serves as the Director of Sarcoma for the Institute of Limb Preservation, the Managing Partner of the Colorado Limb Consultants, and volunteers his time as a member of the Board of Directors Executive Committee for the Limb Preservation Foundation.

Sports played a large part in my life, when during a track meet I fractured my forearm, leading to my first encounter with an orthopedic surgeon. This early event sparked my interest in medicine, specifically in the field of orthopedics.

This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Andrew Pytiak is dedicated to helping young athletes return to, and stay on the playing field. He has fellowship training in both pediatric orthopaedics and sports medicine and is passionate about synthesizing these two disciplines to address the unique challenges presented by young, athletic patients. He honed his skills by providing sideline, training room and practice coverage for multiple Division I collegiate athletic teams at the University of Colorado Boulder and the University of Denver. He has also served as the team physician for Colorado high school football teams. He serves as a resource for patients with fractures, cartilage damage, ligament tears, injured growth plates and torn tendons. Dr. Pytiak is an active researcher in pediatric orthopedics and has multiple publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. A focus of his research is upper extremity injuries in the young throwing athlete. He has lectured and presented research around the world in locations including Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America. Motivated by a belief that all children have the right to live happy, healthy lives Dr. Pytiak has also participated in international medical mission trips to help provide basic medical care to medically underserved communities. Outside of medicine, Andrew enjoys the unique exhilaration provided be downhill mountain biking, motorcycling, surfing, and alpine skiing. He loves traveling far off the beaten track and has visited over 25 countries.
