James I. Tikellis, M.D., joined Christiana Care as a general surgeon most recently from a private practice at Christiana Care Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute. Dr. Tikellis is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of General Surgery. Dr. Tikellis earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. She previously served as a medical director of a breast center and division chief of breast surgery with hospital-based breast care services, and founded a solo practice specializing in care and surgery for patients with breast cancer and benign diseases of the breast. Dr. Leonard earned her medical degree at Howard University College of Medicine. She completed a surgical residency at Howard University and a breast surgical oncology fellowship at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C with additional training in plastic surgery at State University of New York, Downstate. Dr. Leonard is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Leonard has earned multiple recognitions as a Top Doc in Breast Surgery and awards for excellence in healthcare, service and scholarship.
