Karen Fortune, MD chose to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology because every day brings something new from in-office patient visits to deliveries and surgeries."The best part of being an obstetrician is that I am able to be part of one of the best days of my patients' lives," says Dr. Fortune. "It is such a privilege. I also want to be there for my patients. My goal is to help them adjust to any life changes they may be undergoing. We talk about different ways they can embrace these changes and strive to find behavioral, non-pharmacological approaches."Dr. Fortune is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.Outside of work, Dr. Fortune enjoys spending time with her family, as well as gardening, cooking and traveling.

Irene Lewnard, MD was first inspired to become a physician by her grandfather who started his medical career as a family physician and later trained as an anesthesiologist, and her aunt who is a pathologist. She says they both believed strongly in serving their communities. Dr. Lewnard was inspired to go into the OB/GYN specialty by a mentor during medical school who had great compassion and skill in caring for her patients. "I enjoy the relationships OB/GYNs develop with women at all stages of life, from adolescence through menopause," says Dr. Lewnard. "It is a privilege to participate in both joyful and challenging moments in their lives. I like that we are able to offer a wide variety of medical and surgical options to best help our patients.""I always try to listen to each patient carefully to understand their individual concerns and priorities, and how I can best help them," says Dr. Lewnard. "It is important to me that each patient completely understands all of the treatment options and participate in the decision-making process."Dr. Lewnard is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Outside of work, Dr. Lewnard enjoys travel, outdoor activities, music, and spending time with her fianc, family and friends.

Dr. Perry received a B.A. in Neuroscience from Dartmouth College, a M.D. from the University of California, San Diego, and completed her OBGYN residency at Boston Medical Center/Boston University. She is a member of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has special interests in high risk obstetrics, minimally invasive gynecological surgery, chronic pelvic pain/endometriosis, infertility, and family planning. She is fluent in English, proficient in Spanish, and respectful of preferred pronouns. She is accepting new patients.
