Nancy Stepanek, ANP-BC, joined CenterWell as a board-certified adult and psychiatric nurse practitioner. Ms. Stepanek earned her BSN from St. Luke's College of Nursing and Health Sciences, her MSN and ANP from Vanderbilt University, and her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner post-grad certificate from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Before joining CenterWell, Ms. Stepanek spent a year with CrownView Medical Group and 11 years at Southland Primary Care. She believes that listening is vital to ensuring patient satisfaction and that her role is to assess and provide a treatment plan, knowing that patients have the right to make decisions about their health. For her, the right provider-patient relationship is whatever works for that patient, and her philosophy of care is to do her best for each one. Ms. Stepanek has spent most of her life caring for adult patients. As a nurse practitioner, she has treated seniors in primary care, psychiatric and skilled nursing, long-term care, and assisted living. Ms. Stepanek chose healthcare to help others. A mom of six and a grandmother, in her free time, enjoys life with her family, taking walks with her husband and reading.
