Dr. Grenz also served as Medical Director of Hospice, the Emmons County Ambulance Service, Emmons County Public Health and the Strasburg Care Center. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine. A native of Bismarck, Dr. Grenz completed an undergraduate degree in Agriculture from North Dakota State University. Following the completion of graduate coursework in Animal Nutrition, also from North Dakota State University, he operated a 1200-acre grain farm from 1988-1993. Dr. Grenz went on to receive his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency in Fargo, North Dakota. A 4-year recipient of the National Health Service Corps Scholarship, Dr. Grenz was honored as Resident Teacher of the Year from 1999-2000. He completed his Family Medicine residency at the UND Center for Family Medicine in Bismarck and received the Best of the Best Award for Most Helpful Resident from St. Alexius Medical Center in March 2006. Certified in ATLS, ACLS and PALS, Dr. Longie is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.
