Dr. Wilson attended the University of Texas at Austin and then went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1980. He then completed an OB/GYN residency at the University of Texas Southwestern at Parkland Memorial Hospital and has been in private practice in McAllen since 1984. He was a Clinical Associate Professor at UTHSC San Antonio from 2012-2017 and has been on the UTRGV Medical School Admissions Committee since its inception. In his role as the Medical Student Community Coordinator, he recruits and is the liaison for the Ob-Gyn community physicians who serve as preceptors for the medical students. He is a member of the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, the Texas Medical Association, and the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Flor Limas was born in Pharr, Texas and raised in the northern part of Mexico. Ever since she can remember she had always wanted to become a doctor. Helping those in need has always brought happiness to her life. As a result, she attended the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and graduated in 2005 with a degree in PreMed Biology and minor in Chemistry. Dr. Limas then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston where she obtained her Medical Doctor degree in 2009. During those four years in medical school, she was privileged to experience many different areas of medicine and during her OB/GYN rotation, she fell in love with women's health. Dr. Limas enjoyed the satisfaction of improving the life of many women, spending time explaining their conditions, and ultimately having a great impact in each of the lives of the women and their families. The variety she found in the OB/GYN field gave her the opportunity to integrate surgery, preventive medicine, education to women plus experiencing the miracle of pregnancy and delivery. She stayed at the University for the residency program and completed the Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences Specialty in 2013. She enjoys working in the Rio Grande Valley caring for women of all ages. Her medical interests include minimally invasive gynecological surgery and high-risk pregnancies. Dr. Limas enjoys dancing and spending time with friends and family. Jennifer Almonte-Gonzalez, M.D., FACOG, is proud and excited to be a founding partner at The Women's Center of Excellence (WCE). Her special interests in adolescent female health, high risk pregnancy and complicated gynecological issues complement the services at WCE. Dr. Almonte-Gonzalez strongly adheres to applying medical practices that have the best evidence for the best outcomes for her patients. She takes a collaborative approach to care, always involving a patient and her family in medical decision-making, as appropriate. Dr. Almonte-Gonzalez graduated from the St. Mary's University Honors Program. She earned her MD from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio and completed her specialty training at the UTHSCSA Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program. During her residency at University Hospital in San Antonio, she was awarded the prestigious Arnold Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine and Teaching Award and served as the Administrative Chief Resident.Originally from El Paso, Dr. Almonte-Gonzalez is proud to now call the Rio Grande Valley her home. She is married to a physician, who is a Brownsville native, and they have two young sons. Dr. Almonte-Gonzalez hobbies include spending time with her family and friends and volunteer work. She is an active member of The Junior League Of McAllen. Dr. Almonte-Gonzalez is bilingual in English and Spanish and treats adolescent and adult patients. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Alberto D. Duran was born in San Antonio, Texas and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. He attended Our Lady of the Lake University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1991. He was accepted to The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where in 1996 he received his Medical Doctor degree. He proceeded to complete the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program in the same Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas in 2000. He has been practicing in the Rio Grande Valley since then. Dr. Duran enjoys outdoor activities, especially golfing.
