After earning a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Novak received his medical degree from Georgetown University where he was named a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the National Medical Honor Society. He remained in Washington, DC, at Georgetown University Medical Center to complete a residency in orthopaedic surgery. He then completed advanced fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Van Nuys, California. Dr. Novak worked intensively with some of the best sports and arthroscopic surgeons in the country during his fellowship training and today is able to perform advanced arthroscopic techniques for a number of orthopaedic problems.
