Eric Swisher, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology with LewisGale Physicians in Salem, Virginia. Dr. Swisher earned his Medical Doctorate at the Medical College of Virginia and completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Prior to medical school, he attended University of Virginia and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Dr. Swisher is a veteran of the United States Army's 212th Mobile Army Surgical Unit, a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is also certified in minimally invasive gynecological surgery by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Swisher is considered an expert in pregnancy care, childbirth, and in treating a wide range of gynecological conditions. He is highly skilled in performing minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of endometriosis, fibroids, and abnormal uterine bleeding.
