Tough love is the phrase I would use to describe him. In cases such as couples therapy this can be very useful, as I can say he helped save my relationship. He helped us create communication skills as well as being more honest with each other and changes that needed to be made to fix our relationship. If you are looking to make a change and are tough enough to deal with the truth, then this is your guy!
