He served as an assistant and associate professor in the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina for seven years and served as the Head and Neck Surgical Oncology Fellowship Director at the Medical University of South Carolina for the past year and a half. Dr Neskey has published over 50 peer reviewed articles and book chapters focused on the molecular pathways and genomic alterations associated with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. In addition, Dr. Neskey has been the principle investigator for several ongoing trials, including a Phase II investigator initiated trial of nivolumab as a presurgical treatment for patients with oral cavity cancer. He has served as co-director of the Cancer Immunology Program of Hollings Cancer Center and was co-program director of the Hollings Cancer Center K12 Paul Calabresi Clinical Oncology Career Development Program. He is also currently funded through the NIH/NIDCR. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a member of the American Head and Neck Society, American Academy of Clinical Research, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well a Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute Director.
