Discounted My Issue
I'm in my 20s. I've had bilateral knee pain and swelling for a year now that prevents me from running, hiking, or lifting, and it has impacted my quality of life. I went to two different PTs with limited success. The second said I should see an orthopedic. I drove 2 hours to this appointment, only for this doctor to tell me that plenty of people get knee pain. I was looking forward to an answer (even if it wasn't surgery), but he barely explored my issue, discounted what PTs had told me, and minimized the issue I had. It was really disappointing. He wasn't rude though, so I give him 2 stars.

Great appointment with Dr. Gardiner
Saw Dr. Gardiner for a shoulder pain. The office was very efficient - I was brought in on time for x-ray and saw the doctor after that. He was thorough and answered all questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. I was able to get an injection right after my appointment at their office a couple of doors down. Really impressed.

This doctor is absolutely horrible
Dr. Gardner should not be a doctor. I had a shoulder injury at work and he states I had a torn labrum. Dr. Gardner then replied I may have one as well. He then offered me a cortisone shot and told me I’d be able to go back to work. Then suggested a possible frozen shoulder. I went for a second opinion and the doctor immediately stated I did NOT have a frozen shoulder and actually laughed at Dr. Gardner’s diagnosis. He then took his own images and stated I had a partially torn rotator cuff as well as a torn posterior and anterior labrum as well as a partially torn bicep. I had surgery and am back to 100 % no thanks to Dr. Gardner. Stay clear of this so called doctor

This is the worst doctor ever! He does not listen and rushed through the exam. He told me nothing was wrong and pain would go away. A month later, I saw another doctor who listened, did a good check and ordered an MRI. I have a serious neck injury that now requires surgery. Had it be diagnosed properly and treated correctly by Dr. Gardiner, I could have avoided surgery. He is awful.

Dr. Gardner would ask a question, then interrupt. He diagnosed me as fine. His total examination was under one minute. I went to another doctor who ordered an MRI that showed Myelopathy and a severely compressed nerve. Worst doctor that I have ever seen. Considering filing malpractice against him.

I was completely pleased with Dr. Gardiner from beginning to end. I had a torn meniscus. He showed me the MRI and explained everything patiently and completely. When I told him I wanted to look at less traditional options, he was open to that and gave me a referral. After looking at other options and trying PT, I decided that traditional surgery was my best bet and I went back to Dr. Gardiner. He was excellent. I had the surgery a week later and I'm now on my way to healing.

Dr. Gardiner took the time to explain my problem clearly and he came up with a plan to strengthen my knee so I would be ready for Fall sports. He was friendly and professional. I highly recommend him, especially for sports related injuries.
