He is brilliant AND kind. He explained everything
I feel like a partner in my own treatment. I am new to him, so he wanted to do comprehensive testing and possibly reduce prednisone levels that I was taking. He discussed with me if the plan met my approval.

Great care
Dr. Samat is very direct. He cares about his patients health, the outcomes of their care, and covers all of his bases in endocrine. In my experience, he isn’t very gentle with his wording. He very much tells you exactly how it is, what the plan is, and what the expected outcomes are. He gives options, and is very professional. I really liked him.

Terrible
Have a referral and have insurance. Have symptoms and a low lab value but apparently not low enough to be worth seeing. Could not get an appointment. Will gladly seek out another practice for assistance with my health.

useless
a Student interviewed me and dr came in said let me see your hands .then he proceeded to tell me he has to a limit things so he wanted a 24 hour urine. okay that was it for appointment. Then after summary was written by a student with his ideas and not dr. no follow visits scheduled ,no phone call about test and really the dr was as unprofessional as they come.

Very disappointed of this doctor. On my first visit Dr. Samat diagnose hashimoto after a physical exam (with no blood work done) My blood work was done after the visit and the tsh result was 0.05, the levo dose got decreased. Next app. was scheduled in a year. Done blood work week before the app. (tsh result was above the norm) although the blood work was done twice between the visits no one informed me about the levels and results. When asked the dr. about supplementations, he seemed clueless.

Dr. Samar is extremely thorough. He explains if this happens, do this; if that, do the following. He is very precise so that when you leave his office you feel secure and safe. You feel like you are managed and in competent hands. The degree of safety is ensured by his detailed instructions on what to do when you leave the office. He takes the time to answer your questions and installs a lot of confidence with his knowledge. He is also empathetic and sensitive to his patient's unspoken
