Dr. Abdalmajid Katranji, MD

I have been treated by Kataranji in two seperate instances: when I was around eight for trigger finger in both hands and again when i was 14 for carpal tunnel. Over the years I had seen him, my parents and I felt rushed and talked over after waiting for at least 2-4 hrs to be seen for each appointment (which typically lasted under half an hour). It felt like we immediately rushed to surgery for my carpal tunnel, and because the underlying cause failed to be identified and I was not given proper post-op education or care, I developed a form of CRPS and had to be hospitalized two years later. In addition, I wish I had recieved more education for long-term post-operative care for both conditions treated or at least referred to someone else to assist with the care, as well as better documentation of the care I recieved from him and surgery.

After seeing a few other hand surgeons and doing my research I decided to get surgery done by Dr Katranji and I am so glad that I made this decision. I would recommend him to my family and friends and cannot thank him enough for his amazing skills.

I fractured my right elbow and wrist back in January 2020. I had the most debilitating fracture ever. In short, after a total of 2 surgeries and almost a year of occupational therapy Dr. Katranji has enabled my arm elbow and wrist to function at a level i never thought would be possible again. Dr. Katranji is a miracle worker and i knew i was in great hands when ER doctor said to me upon my admission “It’s your lucky day Mr. Kessler, Dr. Katranji will be performing your surgery.” Thank you Dr. Katranji and staff for everything.

I have had carpal tunnel surgeries done on my both wrists by Dr. Katranji and i am highly satisfied with the outcome. He and his staff are very nice and understanding. Would recommend visiting KHC if you want the most skilled surgeons in Michigan to take care of your hands.

If you really want to get the best surgical care in Michigan, you must go to Katranji hand center. Most of all, he is the first doctor i have ever met who doesn’t rush the appointment. He will sit with you and answer your questions and explain everything to you even if takes an hour. In short, do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Katranji if you have any issues with your arm, wrist and fingers. You won’t be disappointed.

Referred to Dr Katranji from McLaren ER, left 2 messages to get and appointment, after 3rd call was told I would receive a call back by 2 pm on Monday, today is Thursday and no return call. I got right into Dr Truluck... can only imagine how awful follow up visits would be with Katranji if this is how it is trying to get in for a consult! I DO NOT recommend Katranji... Dr Truluck is great and his office staff is amazing!

I love Dr Katranji! I broke my wrist and he did an awesome job on my surgery. He is very nice and explains things and the nurses are great.
