September biopsy on my larnyx proved to be cancerous. In October, I met Dr Rubin. His medical staff and Dr rubin did the surgery consult. They all were very reassuring, kind and extremely confident this could be taken care of. They told me everything to expect, I had a choice of hospitals, it was going to be an outpatient procedure and explained how these cancer cells are persistent and sometimes it takes several laser surgeries. I have had 3 surgeries November, January and March. I just went back for a second post-op appt, and Dr Rubin and and his staff were very thorough during this visit. The Dr's that were in there all taking a look at the videos of my throat. Everything looks great they said, so your next appt will be in 3 months because we have to keep an eye on it. Thank you very much!

I was appalled at how arrogant he was. Unprepared for my appointment, and couldn’t find my paperwork, until his resident found info. He told me right away he knew my ENT well, and she was very good. He asked for details, and then interrupted me to ask what I wanted. My cousin, who is a retired doctor was with me, and reiterated for a second opinion. He berated and gaslight me, stating that I couldn’t have gone through a period of aspirations, until my cousin again stated I had. He was careful with putting the camera down my nose, and took extra care to put it in the left nostril, when the right hurt. I was impressed with his technique and grateful. He told me the procedure I had earlier was perfectly done, even though I still can’t talk. Suggested this was due to way I was forcing talk previously. He did have me see an excellent speech therapist, who gave me some techniques. As a mental health therapist, I was appalled at the gaslighting. Initially felt like I was wasting his time.

Dr Rubin is so friendly and puts you to ease immediately. I will definitely recommend him to family and friends.

My first visit to Dr. Rubin for what I hope is a minor problem. Found him and Liz very thorough. After a detailed exam he clearly explained what he saw as the likely problem in terms I could understand and the recommended course of action.
