Dr. Alfred Petrocelli, MD

My mother has RA and she has been seen by Dr. Petrocceli for several years. He always listens so carefully prior to making decision. He is so caring and knowledgeable. He is an expert, we are so lucky to have him in Santa Cruz.

I was misdiagnosed with Lupus some years ago. Dr. Petrocelli did not agree and to make sure, had some special tests done. I had been so devastated by having lupus, but I did not have it. One test, ANA, was very high and it is a marker for Lupus together with a rash on my face. Well, the rash was rosacea and the ANA was high due to hormone therapy for years. I appreciate his intelligence and his persistence in helping me and his other patients. I know I will always have good care from Dr. P

In a matter totally unrelated to my reason for seeing him, he deduced I had a cardiac issue, referred me for an ECHO cardiogram, and I was in open-heart surgery asap. He literally saved my life.
