I have had an excellent experience with Dr. Hamraz and his staff. Outstanding Doctor who truly cares for his patients and I could not be happier with the care I have received. Thank you so much!

Dismissive
I suspect that he's fairly knowledgeable on the medicine, and his notes were detailed, but the condescension was BAD. One of the most dismissive and condescending physicians I've visited. He also wrote overtly derogatory comments in the medical record that I fear will skew future providers' opinions. (His practice I believe solicits Google reviews after visits, which I think is why his Google reviews are so positive and numerous and his reviews here more negative and I suspect more representative of patients' true experiences.)

Knowledgeable, but…
I thought Dr Hamraz, was very knowledgeable and intelligent, but he lacks empathy. He doesn’t really take time to listen to the patient, and it seems his opinion is first. He talks to you, like he knows it all.He seems like he cares, but lacks professionalism, and seems rude. As a patient, I’m looking for a Dr who cares and listens to you, and is not rude. Thanks.

Concerns Regarding Communication and Patient Care
I am writing to address significant concerns regarding the communication and coordination at Dr. Hamraz's office, as these issues have directly impacted my care and well-being.Miscommunication Regarding Follow-Up Visits:I was informed during a prior interaction with the office staff that I did not need to return for a follow-up visit. This information turned out to be incorrect, as my prescription for a daily medication—which, when abruptly discontinued, significantly impairs my quality of life—was not refilled due to the need for a follow-up visit. When I called the office to resolve the issue, I was asked who I had spoken to. As the original discussion occurred months ago, I could not recall the individual’s name but assumed this interaction would be documented in my chart. This lack of documentation further contributed to the confusion.Delays in Prescription Authorization:After scheduling a follow-up appointment to address the issue, I requested a short-term prescription to t

Extremely rude and 0 empathy for his patients
Hamraz, told me “it’s not his problem” when I was upset and frustrated with why I had been continually gaining weight even after being on the “right dosage” of thyroid medication. He was rude and entitled saying he didn’t know where I got my information from, but I was wrong. The way he speaks to his patients is like he is better than them and his way is the right way, as we know not any person is like another. What upset me is when he told me it wasn’t his problem I was upset with what’s going on with my body. The lack of empathy and care was mind boggling to me. He also told me to go see another endocrinologist multiple times, which confirmed he does not care.

I see Dr Hamraz at his office in Walnut Creek. He is an amazing doctor, spends a great deal of time with you, is completely engaged in the patient’s treatment and I continue to recommend him to all my friends and family. The epitome of what a doctor should be.

Not Responsive to his patients
Although the visit was good, his responsiveness to questions about therapy is so poor and tries to put his unresponsiveness blame on the patient. All he had to do was answer the question instead of constantly saying did you look at the notes and still not answering the question. His staff is also not responsive and constantly uses excuses instead of resolving the issue. The issue/question was simple to answer but he made it so difficult and negative. His customer/patient manners desperately needs help. Just address the patient’s issue instead of arguing!!!!!
