Dr. Alpa Patel, MD

Single-handedly the worst doctor I have encountered. Her tehnician was awesome and tooks tons of notes for her before she came in to examine me. Then she came in like a freight train without looking at a single note from her technician. She did not read my medical history before discounting all of my symptoms. Told me I probably had a dental issue and that she couldn't help me. Don't waste your time with this totally insensitive doctor.

My self &my wife are patient with Dr.Patel for more than 2 yearsLately my wife done Cataract surgery by Dr Patel in the beginning she was afraid but after discussing it with the doctor she done surgery Thanks God everything went okay’s ,we were very happy for the follow up of Dr Patel in personShe treat us with respect and kindness and patience she is a very good listener God bless her &the team of south coast eye care centers

She is argumentative, difficult and ultimately did not help me

Absolutely atrocious - cut me off while speaking throughout the visit and I didn’t even get to explain my issue before she made a quick assumption of the problem. I now realize why I was able to get in so quickly with her - she’s probably avoided like the plague by regular patients, and she will spend 5 minutes with you max. Plus she acted annoyed to be there even after I sat there for 20 extra minutes, but truly it was her who wasted my time by not taking our visit seriously, being condescending and talking about her own problems during the appointment??? She’s a joke. The other doctors at South Coast Eye Care might be great but unfortunately I’ll never know- because I’ll never rebook at this office due to her behavior. Don’t take these reviews lightly: she has this low of a rating for a reason. Just save your money (she’s clearly in this profession for that reason and not to help people) and see someone who deserves it.

The worst doctor I’ve ever seen. Choose anyone else but her!

The worst eye care professional ever. She was obviously upset during our visit as I was in the waiting room hearing her upset on a call. She asked me question after question but got upset when I answered them because I talked...STOP TALKING!!! She lanced my eye 5 times as she examined me and if I moved from the pain I was also scolded like a child (I'm 40 with 3 masters degrees...hmmm). I think my eye is more damaged then it was when I went in to see her. She is the worst. STAY AWAY.
