Dr. Spinner is an amazing doctor and has preformed surgery on our daughter twice who has severe sleep apnea. She’s great at explaining the procedure and has a caring nature. So appreciative that we found her and that she has helped our daughter breathe better!

Office staff unprofessional
Terrible. I cannot schedule surgery. My daughter has severe sleep apnea. Dr. Spinner recommended surgery right away. After a second opinion from a pulmonologist confirmed the need for surgery, I called her office three separate times to schedule surgery. They said they’d call me back weeks ago and they still haven’t. I am taking my daughter to a pediatric ENT in Salt Lake City. The drive and paying for a hotel is worth not having to deal with her office.

We have been trying for SIX MONTHS to schedule a surgery with Dr. Spinner. It has been scheduled and cancelled over three times. My son was supposed to have his surgery done at the same time as his cleft palate (which has already happened), I have left voicemails with no response, and apparently there is only one person who can schedule her surgeries who seems to never been in the office. I spoke to someone today who told me they would call back and never got one, so when I called they had no idea what I was talking about or why I was calling. Do yourself a favor and RUN don't walk away if you want to avoid stress, headaches, and *praying* that your child will get the care that they need.

Before the pandemic, my family member was hospitalized at UMC. Dr. Spinner was very courteous and professional when speaking to my family and I at the bedside. However, I was appalled at how rude she was to the nursing staff (this is while we were in the room too). It’s like a switch flipped in her brain whenever she spoke to the RNs. I was stunned at the time and didn’t say anything, but this is the most memorable event during that hospital stay. I’m sure she’s a competent surgeon, but I could not believe the lack of respect that she had for non-physician staff. We recognize ALL the staff who took care of my family - physicians, nurses, and therapists alike. I would want everyone to be comfortable and at ease if they’re participating in my medical care, and that kind of behavior from a doctor doesn’t sit well with me. That being said, I would not be comfortable having Dr. Spinner care for me or my family after seeing that kind of behavior.

If you’re going to have poor bedside manners at least be good at what you do. She places non functional tubes in my sons ears, she’s very inexperienced

My son had a sleep study over 2 months ago and we have yet to receive the results. I have called 6 times and left messages each time. I really hope my kiddo doesnt need anything, because I can't get him anything without the results. Worst service I have ever encountered from a medical office. I would recommend leaving town to find someone else before visiting this office.

Dr Spinner somewhat accidentally became our doctor. Our son had a cleft lip. Dr Spinner made us feel completely confident, though her experience was less than some in town. She did an unbelievable repair on our son’s lip! I absolutely recommend her for her professionalism, bedside manner and artistry in facial repair. I do think UNLV needs to have a better setup for their office staff and scheduling. It’s very hard to get through to anyone. It took the hospital liaison weeks to get through to them to set up our initial appointment. They have been friendly enough, but there’s something sketchy about the process of getting in contact with them.

Dr. Spinner is AMAZING she is so sweet. We love her. However the office staff is the WORST. God forbid you ever have any medical concerns or questions about your child because they WILL NEVER CALL YOU BACK! The easiest thing they tell you to do is go to urgent care of the emergency room cause they don’t want to hear you out or help you. Sickening! I hope Dr. Spinner realizes this sooner then later, they make her business look very bad.
