Does not care about patient health
You have to schedule 6 months out for an appointment. Doctor canceled when I was 1 month away from my appointment. The scheduler would not fit me in or schedule me for anything until 4-5 additional months out. Additionally, I had my 2nd appointmentment scheduled for March (4 months away) Because they canceled my 1st appointment., they canceled my 2nd. They didn't want to keep that appointment for my replacement 1st visit. At this rate of cancelling and rescheduling out for months on end, I would never get to see a doctor. Shameful on their part and no way to run a medical office. I have never had such a sorry experience from a Vanderbilt doctor as this.

I retired for the military and worked in a hospital for 7 years. I met some bad doctors but Dr. Olson is not one of those. I moved to Tennessee about 1-year ago and went to Dr. Olson. I found her to be very straight forward, knowledgeable, pleasant, and spends the time necessary to insure you get the best care for your visit. I have recommended a friend to her for care. She is a very good doctor!

Dr. Olson was very kind and throughout with my diagnosis. She took the time to listen to my problems and connect with me. I have been doing so much better since my treatment. Her nurse is wonderful too. Very sweet! Highly Recommend.

I’ve seen Dr.Olson since she came to Vanderbilt Medical Group and am impressed at every visit. She is very intuitive about all my medical concerns and gets right to the steps required to heal or improve. She also follows up with me to make sure any problems get resolved. I am thankful to have a very good and wise doctor.

When I went to see Dr. Olson I'd been having stomach pain for months. She treated me like I was 5 and after my examination, she told me my "homework" was to just drink more water and eat healthier. She didn't take me seriously the entire time, and was very condescending. She had me do multiple lab tests and NEVER called back with my results... I ended up going to a different doctor, and found out my issue was more serious and I needed to be on medication.

Dr. Olson is exactly what all her negative reviews say: the most condescending woman you’ll ever meet. Here were my issues with her: - Did not listen to any of my concerns - Ran the wrong blood tests after I confirmed with her the correct ones - Interrogated me about my past as an abuse victim way beyond a professional reason - Had a nurse call me the next day to tell me about a "new" medical condition that she just discovered (but I had listed on my paperwork, so it's actually not new at all)

Mother's "cancer" ending up being anemia. Took this overconfident condescending person 6 months to diagnose anemia. Don't waste your time and money.

Frustrated in Franklin – Mar 28, 2017
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Olson?
Condescending. Expressions and mannerisms don't seem to match the seriousness involved. Laughed and smirked saying "could be colon cancer". Unprofessional unkempt. Attitude poor. Doesn't like to be questioned because she doesn't have an answer other than it could be colon cancer. Thank you so much Dr. for jumping straight to the "c" word. Sadistic.

My PCP left the practice, and Dr. Olson is her replacement. When I saw her the first time, I questioned whether I should go back, but everyone has bad days, so I felt she deserved another chance. I have seen her three times to date, and each time it has been the same. She is not interested in my concerns, and she is condescending. She is not even in the same league as the doctor she replaced.

I called as a new patient to get an appointment for an annual physical. They informed me over the phone I would have to come in for a consultation first then come back again to get a physical. and oh, by the way, she's not seeing new patients until October!! So, while a physical is completely covered by my insurance a consultation is not. It seems like to me it's another way for this practice to get more money out of the patient... as if coming in for a physical isn't reason enough to see

Me and my little one visit Dr. Olson for all our healthcare needs. The very first time I met her I was pregnant and instantly knew that I wanted her to be the PCP for my little one. My little one was born prematurely and spent a month in the NICU. When we brought him him he didn't even tip the scale at 5lbs. I schedule an appointment with her for a follow up visit right after his release. 7 months later I am extremely pleased at the care that we have received from Dr. Olson and her staff.
