Dr. Patel has a great, caring personality and answered all my questions. He doesn't rush you at all. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. I go to him for my thyroid and my husband for diabetes. We have complete confidence and trust in him.

I was referred to Dr. Patel by my primary. Over the course of 8 months, he 'treated' my condition. After a decent first experience, each appointment degraded from their. I don't know if he's busy, uninterested or simply doesn't care. Unprofessional in his verbal and written communication, and just an overall lack of empathy. What a waste of time and money for a so-called 'specialist'. Do yourself a favor and don't. Staff is unfriendly, and billing is ridiculous. Don't ask for statement summary.

So pleased with finding Dr. Patel. He is truly an expert in diabetes management. Most personable. Explained things in detail and in laymans terms. Wish I had started seeing him years ago. Short wait to get an appointment and short wait to see doctor. The staff was great..friendly and most efficient.

Dr. Patel's doctoring is probably fine but the staff and lab did not meet our needs: there was no order for the labs we were told to come for and a long wait while that got straightened out; the downstairs waiting room is shared and inadequate office space makes checking in and out awkward.

The office personnel routinely screw up in sending lab orders and referrals. Dr. Patel wanted me to get a second opinion but wouldn't give me the referral. He is not knowledgeable in the less common endocrine diseases.

Does not have good bedside manners, more interested in sharing his political views rather than listening to your concerns. Not helpful with insurance company requests. Staff does not follow up when you have refill questions or requests. Took me 2 months to get prescription refilled after multiple calls. Good thing I had refills from my prior Dr. before our move down to NC. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
