First Patient Experience
I felt that Dr. Pham provided an excellent first time patience experience for me. He was thoughtful, caring, and I felt that he really took the time to listen to my concerns. After, he provided very thorough explanation of his medical opinions and way of treatment. Overall, very happy with my appointment.

Slowest ever dealt with
First of all, my allergy test appointment was split into two appointments which made no sense at all. It took two months before I had the first appointment and they told me it was just a consultation and I had to book another test to do the actual test...what am I consulting about? I said I wanted to run an allergy test. And the follow-up was set two whole months later. Then when I come in they tell me they are going to get me a prescription for an allergy pill. It has now been almost 2 months and I have heard nothing back about said prescription that they had to get approved! I have never had this experience before with medical professionals. If it was something that made sense to take this long I would be more understanding but this is truly unacceptable for such a trivial thing as a prescription approval. I have been struggling with my allergy and there seems to be no care in the world on behalf of his line of work/duty and I am severely disappointed.

He was not very helpful in my case.
I have a chronic cough, terrible fatigue, a positive ANA test and I don’t feel great most of the time. My energy is always zapped and I have coughing spells every day that are noticeable to anyone who spends more that thirty minutes with me. My cough flares especially when I laugh or when I am talking. I hoped that Dr. Pham could offer a deeper investigation into my problems. But he gave me a new inhaler , a regimen to try for a few weeks and some environmental allergy tests. The allergy tests were positive for trees, grasses, weeds, mold and dust. He didn’t recommend any treatment except to buy a pillow case to keep dust from accumulating in my pillow. There were no other solutions except that I should see a pulmonologist. I asked if he had any referrals, but he said that he didn’t know anyone that he could refer me to. I felt dismissed and generally more hopeless about the possibility improving my health and curing my chronic cough, after seeing Dr. Pham. That was my experience.

Dr. Pham is hands down one of the best allergists in Los Angeles. Extremely knowledgeable/passionate in this field, and truly cares about his patients. Most importantly, he takes all the time in the world to answer any questions you may have about any allergy/symptoms, etc. - which a lot of doctors today lack, as they try to get you out as soon as possible. Doctor visits can be very overwhelming at times, especially if the patient has a lot of questions. But for Dr. Pham, he summarizes all important notes that was covered during the visit in a document (in specific detail too) so you know exactly what you need to do. Also extremely communicative regarding any questions you have offline. (Even went out of his way to help me with some insurance qs I had regarding my treatment) Overall, very satisfied with the visit.

Visit was fine but the follow-up is crap. I’ve been calling and sending messages and the staff sent him and his nurse high priority message regarding an important question about another doctor wanting to start me on medication that I need to get cleared by him. A simple yes/no but urgent question and we are now going on 2 days with no response. Zero sense of urgency, you’re just another #/file.
