Dr. Antonio Ramos Jr, MD

Never met Dr. Ramos himself. Made an appointment and he wasn't there. Would call to try and get a face-to-face appointment, but I was always told he was at the hospital. He leaves a Physician Assistant and Registered nurse there to see/treat his patients. They wouldn't or couldn't even tell me which days he is in his office to see his patients. There are no set hours he has in which he works in his office according to his staff. No one wore badges or name tags showing their names and credentials. When staff was asked for their names they all acted like it was wrong to ask for their name and credentials. When I asked certain questions I was always told it was Dr. Ramos' office and that is the way he runs it. I am looking for another PCP who actually works in their office/clinic to see/treat their patients and where the staff wears name badges/tags showing their credentials.

Doctor Ramos spends more time than the average physician, is thorough. I had to move to San Antonio, Tx. I really hate to leave him. Don't know if I will find a primary doctor as good as he, here. Blood tests in his office, ultrasound in the same building, no having to go to another clinic for these services. Really miss him.

Earlier this morning I went for a routine check up. There is not a person to greet you for checking in or to help you if you have a question. There is a sign in front of clipboard that tells you to sign in and have a seat. The wait time with no appointment is ridiculous over 45 minutes. I have been going to Dr. Ramos over a year and never met him once. Nurse practitioner guesses at medical issues. I seen a woman in check out with black hair and blonde highlights put people on hold and not picking the phone back up to help whoever was on the other line. Do not call the office, you will be put on Internal Hold. Office staff is not friendly towards patients and they do not help each other. Office staff are grumpy and rude when asked a question. Horrible customer service and patient treatment. I will be changing to a new doctor.

Horrible customer service ! Staff is rude, acts like they make no mistakes ever. Act like it’s a bother to assist you. I would not recommend anyone go to this doctors office. WORST ATTITUDES ! I wish someone would show them some manners.

I would never recommend Dr. Ramos. Would be dead by now, if I had kept going to him.He ordered unnecessary tests, run by a bunch of unqualified techs on old machines that were nasty and rusting. He is unqualified to be practicing medicine and robbing a lot of people of good years. DO NOT GO SEE HIM!!!

I would never recommend Dr. Ramos. Would be dead by now, if I had kept going to him. He would not listen to me, typed on his computer the whole time, and ordered unnecessary tests instead of focusing on my real problem which was my heart. I found a new dr. who basically saved my life.

I never made it into see the doctor. The front desk receptionist was the rudest staff I have ever in my life encountered. I asked the receptionist the name of the doctor to confirm I was in the right office and she acted as if I was ruining her day. She constantly rolled her eyes and snapped at me to give her my id and insurance card. I then asked the wait time because I was hoping I didn't need to spend much time in the waiting area with her and she behaved like a spoiled child. I just left

Dr. Ramos has always provided me with great service. His clinic has always been able to squeeze me in to see him when I have needed. He is straight forward and his plan of treatment has always been spot on.

His clinic is poorly managed. Staff seems to be inexperienced and apathetic. Was given the wrong lab requisition and they called in the wrong prescription. Called the office to relay the 2 errors, was told he would return call at ends of day ... no call received. No apparent sinks or hand sanitizers -- OMG! No one seems to wash or sanitize hands between patients!
