Detached and Uninterested
Came to him 6 months ago with psoriatic arthritis diagnosed 5 years prior. He’s the 5th rheumatologist I have seen and he’s pretty bad. PsA is a disease that affects tendons, joints, nails, and skin. He didn’t look at my nails or skin lesions. He barely glanced at my feet and ankles, didn’t examine my hands or knees at all. The only time he touched me was to perform a (painful) malingering test. Seemed irritated at me for having had multiple adverse drug reactions (even though I had lab results and hospital records showing they were real—which he also didn’t look at). First drug he Rxd didn’t work for me. Labs were incomplete. The final straw came when I reluctantly (after resisting for years) brought a handicap placard form and he refused to sign it. He never asked about my daily activities or disability levels once, never watched me walk, but he somehow KNEW I never had an inability to walk, turned his back on me and walked out.

I was nervous to see him due to all the negative reviews. He was nothing like I read. He actually cared and touched my joints, asked me questions and told me my diagnosis. Then he actually gave me many options for treatment (didn’t happen at the other 3 RA doctors). When discussing the different options he actually explained the different side effects and what worked best. He also stated we should start with a minimum option and see how it helps me. He was kind to me and even giggled. Please do not believe the negative things. I was on my last leg trying to hold myself together because of my pain and he gave me hope again. He didn’t push drugs, not pain meds. He actually knew what might help and wanted to help me. My new RA for sure.

Doesn't hide implicit bias in decision making. The first question he asked me at yesterday's visit was what m After 1 visit with 2 blood tests in btween, he ruled out prior diagnoses of connective tissue disease, raynauds, and fibromaylgia. There no blood test for Raynauds and fibromyalgia, and he didn't do enough tests for connective tissue. He ignored effect of Magnesium on inflammatory markers, and was as irresponsible with the ANA. He disregarde several years of prior medical records from a well respected rheumetologist and other doctors. He also has a bizarre bedside manner, involving weird staring fits. In visit 1 he bent over and stared into my eyes for a full minute. Visit 2 he stood at attention and looked straight ahead like a soldier after announcing nothing was wrong with me at all. I've been told by another patient at his offices he's fantastic because unlike other rheumetologists he said there was hardly anything wrong with her. Bizarre bedside manner.

Have lived with Lupus for many years. I recently moved and went to this doctor. He wanted to give me pain meds and muscle relaxers. I didn’t want any of them. I just wanted my immune suppressants which he would not prescribe. Told me I didn’t have lupus. Spent a total of 3-4 minutes with me after waiting for an hour in that tiny waiting room. Do not trust your health to this provider.

This doctor spent exactly five minutes with me on my two visits, for the past thirty years I was told I had Lupus or RA, this doctor insisted it was nothing more than Sjogrens, gave me plaquinil, which did nothing but sicken me, did nothing for arthritis, will not go back, terrible experience.

I was very disappointed with my two visits. I had an impression of a doctor lost in space, I barely understood his language and felt he didn't understand me either. There was lack of communication. He was continuously going in and out of the exam room to check his computer and see my records. Finally, he said I was OK when I see everyday I get worst. He could of order extra tests and try to go farther to find a solution and put me in a good health treatment.

I waited 8 months to initially be seen then he didn't bother to look at any of my blood work or records. He did nothing more than my PCP already had done. And was quick to prescribe lots of heavy meds and tell me he didn't support my natural homeopathic healing methods that had been working. He prescribed me stuff I was clearly allergic to (it was in my records) Luckily I never took it. This guy is maybe not incompetent but he is a terrible Dr with no compassion for patients among other things.

He spent maybe 2-3 minutes each time I came. It was obvious after 4 times that I came to see him that he wasn't interested in truly helping me. I couldn't even understand him very well. If he couldn't help me, he should've just told me instead of me coming back for really nothing...

This Dr added hydroxychloroquin to my cocktail of meds for RA, which consists of methotrexate and Prednisone. I complained that I disagreed with with?the new medication and it disagreed with me. Instead of the doctor listening to what I was experiencing, I was terminated as a patient. Later I was hospitalized with a tear in my stomach lining caused By the medicine.

My primary and 2 other specialists think I have an autoimmune disease. He poked me a few times and it didn't hurt. Said it was fibromyalga. No testing needed. I am a person in severe pain and don't want to be on pain meds. I want my life back! Would he dismiss a member of his own family this way? His wife? His child? An hour drive each way and didn't do the tests I went in to have done. If you want to be treated with respect by a dr willing to help... don't look here.

Doctor is horrible at his job! Over books himself, wait time is so long, staff is rude and unprofessional! The doctor will spend 5 minutes in the room with the patient and does not listen or explain anything! Very bad English which makes it very hard to understand him at all. All this doctor cares about is money! Never took any time to get to know me as a patient from the very 1st appt to the last over a year later this was the biggest waste of time and money! DISGUSTING EXCUSE FOR A DOCTOR!
