I had the pleasure to meet Dr. Fleishman prior to my mastectomy (performed by well-respected oncology surgeon, Dr. David L. Smith) during the pandemic of 2020. I was alone. I had no family with me. Dr. Fleishman spent time with me and went over my medical history to let me know what to expect, given my health history and situation. The real compliment was paid by a member of the clinical recovery team. My PACU nurse commented that she never saw a patient wake up and ORIENT so quickly. And I felt this as well when comparing my own experience to that of my father's anesthesia story with another doctor at another facility. I expected to wake up in a groggy, dependent state. I didn't. It felt like I popped up like a pop tart! I remember being wheeled into recovery. I was alert and conversing with the clinical team -I am still amazed by that! Dr. Fleishman's anesthetic calculations were spot-on! Thank you, Dr. Fleishman! You are truly THE BEST!!
