Horrible person answering their phones.
When will doctors understand your front line means everything. I just called today April 21 and spoke to the most rudest woman ever. When someone tells you their child may be ill and you’re super concerned if your compassion doesn’t kick in, you need to find a new job. And this woman needs to find a new job and never answer the phone again. She started out with the most unwelcoming tone ever. And proceeded to rudely ask well what’s wrong with your child. After she sarcastically told me “this is a neurosurgeon. You need neurology hun”. HUN??? I proceeded to hang up in her face. But make no mistake. If she reads this review… you need to be very careful of how you treat people. You never know what someone’s going through. And if you were going through something, maybe you should’ve called in sick. We should all do better at how we treat each other, especially in the healthcare business.

No people skills or compassion whatsoever.
I was referred to Fried who was very short with me both times I saw him. Today he repremanded me for getting a wrong ('useless') MRI -- when HIS staff originated the prescription. Fried then stated (without me getting the corrected MRI), that my daily sharp pain, headaches, nausea, dizziness, blurry vision, sleeplessness, etc. was DEFINATELY not my brain tumor. Fried either thinks he's a clairvoyant or he has a God complex! He also stated that my tumor was not big enough for him, so I asked for my MRI back and he stated, 'What? You didn't like my answer?' I felt very pushed aside and not taken seriously. I don't even know what the next step is because he ended the appointment. I guess it's different if you're a child -- you can't/don't ask questions. Stay clear if you're an adult on Medicaid. He's not worth the added stress in a time like this.

We met Dr. Arno Fried at the hospital and he performed an EVT post malignant brain tumor recession in order to resolve a hydrocephalus. Immediately after the procedure performed by the skillful neurosurgeon Dr. Arno Fried we noticed a drastic difference. Almost 13 years later and no issues with hydrocephalus. Highly recommend Dr. Fried.

We came into Dr Fried's office in October of 2014 with our 13 year old son, recommended by his neurologist. When we got the news that our middle child...smart,handsome,athletic,sensitive, caring,leader..had a brain tumor, I died inside for an instant! Dr Fried said we can monitor it every 3 months or we can do surgery. My strong son did not want to think about this constantly, he said Can we remove this, so I can get on with my life! Dr Fried did his surgery on December 13,2014, he's doing GREAT
