Dr. Barry Greene performed my operation to repair an abdominal hernia. I would like to commend the wonderful treatment I received from Dr. Greene and his staff. I was naturally anxious about the surgery, and it was very comforting to get the friendly personal attention I received at the initial appointment in which the procedure was explained clearly, and all my questions were addressed.I was given clear written instructions pre- and post-operation and was invited to call with any issues or concerns, and my recovery was smooth and uneventful. My gratitude and commendation to Dr. Greene and his team.

Dr. Greene is a wonderful doctor. He takes his time with you making sure you understand everything. I've had to have several surgeries...needless to say, I went to Dr. Greene. Whether you need weight loss surgery, hernia repair or whatever, Dr. Greene's the man. I have nicknamed him "My Hero.

Had hernia surgery performed by Dr Greene recently. Couldn't have been more pleased. An excellent doctor, professional, compassionate and very caring. He and his staff were on the ball attended to my needs quickly from pain management to assistance with mobility issues. No better physician around and staff at both office and at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital

Dr. Greene accessed my husband's lap-band multiple times over the past few years, removing and adding fluid. I had never met him until after surgery to remove the band, and on a subsequent visit to his office. At that time, my husband's abdomen was leaking fluid from 4 of the 5 poke holes, and he had a massive mycobacterium infection of the abdomen. Dr. Greene used non-sterile technique to cut into one of the poke holes and opened it, placing non-sterile gauze into the open wound. He recommended doing that daily. He referred an infectious disease doctor (we chose not to use him). We found our own ID practice in Northern Virginia, and a new surgeon in Bethesda. Dr. Greene's procedures resulted in 3 months of intravenous antibiotics, a midline catheter and two PICC lines, costs of over $852.00 per week for medications not covered by Medicare, and daily wound care. He finally admitted that he may have spread the infection throughout every area he touched.

Dr. Greene eased my mind and prepared me well for gastric sleeve surgery. He also repaired two hernias and esophagus. Prior to meeting him, I had cancelled surgery with another surgeon due to not having a strong comfort level. Once I met, Dr. Greene, I was immediately ready for surgery and knew it was the right time and that he would be able to help me.

Dr Barry Greene has changed my life! He came highly recommended to me and I would highly recommend him to anybody! He is a very caring Dr and very involved with his patients! His office staff are very caring and reinforce your success!

Dr. Greene is a very knowledgeable bariatric surgeon - he and his staff offer tremendous support getting through the long process of actually being approved for the surgery and having it - lots of support. His caring attitude is very apparent and he genuinely wants you to succeed. I only have one negative - their support AFTER surgery is close to zero. Sure, they call the day after you go home to see how you are, but no long term support to make lifestyle changes needed to meet your goal.

would recommend to anyone needing bariactric surgery.had the lapband done in 03, then the sleeve done in 2016. both ops successful.

Dr. Greene is one of the best physician I have ever known! He saved my life. His staff is awesome as well, as they follow his work ethic , professionalism, and attention. At my heaviest. I am 6ft tall, and at my heaviest I was 362lbs, now I am 185!!! Prior to my sleeve surgery I had type 2 diabetes (as high as 673), high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnea among other very unhealthy conditions. 18 months after surgery I no longer have ANY of these conditions. Dr. Greene is as good of a doctor as you will find. He performed my gastric sleeve surgery. I had not one complication and in three months have already lost 50 lbs. Dr. Greene takes the time necessary to listen and answer his patients' questions. His staff is very helpful. It would be difficult to find a doctor that is more skilled at his practice than Dr. Greene. He really cares about the short-term and long-term best interests of his patients.
