Dr. Bayoan Martinez-Cruz, MD

I have been with Dr. Martinez-Cruz for several years. He has a membership program which I would call a hybrid concierge practice. With his system the patient always feels a non-pressure appointment. He is available by email and usually has an appointment the same day if needed. If not, then certainly the next day. My partner and I are very happy with his practice.

My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Cruz since he first came to the Villages. He takes time to explain things and has a personal interest in our health and our lives. I recommend him very highly.

My adult family have been seeing Dr Cruz for a few years. He is excellent and I recommend him without reservation. He has a keen intellect and high degree of medical curiosity. My impression is his idea of a relaxing day off is reading the latest literature related to the problems of his patients. As an example of his level of availability, when we were exposed to the delta variant and emailed him in the evening, he called us at 7:30 the next morning with instructions/recommendations.

He is the most caring doctor he even called my husband Freddy when he was in hospice for heart failure He reaches out

He’s very understanding and listens to your concerns. He takes time with the patient to help them with their health issues! I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a specialist.

I was seen immediately. Dr Martinez gave me the impression I was the ONLY patient he had and I was VERY important to him that he is going to keep me healthy. In my 78 years, he is the best Physician I have ever had.

I love him. Best deer ever. The membership fee is for patient’s who need extra time and appointments. You pay no co-pays, no out of pocket toward deductible. Samples for most rx. A portal to your own health info, appts, bloodwork. Do the math! Plus his knowledge, compassion, listening ear (Takes the time to hear you!) I’m 54 I’ve had many drs. None this amazing.

I think it's ridiculous to charge a fee of 500.00 a year out of pocket. I should be for patients that need the extra time and appointments.

Charging patients a membership fee of 500.00 a year for patients that don’t require doctor visits on a regular basis and that are in pretty good health is totally insane! That should only be done to patients that require longer visits and who have serious health issues! I only saw doctor Martinez twice a year for routin Blood work and to refill my tw prescriptions twice a year! So not fair that I had to give up my doctor that I truly loved. ????????????

I work with doctor Martinez -Cruz for about 5 years. He was the one who has more pts. because everybody recommended him. He doesn’t only has a diploma on the wall or a medical license to practice, He Also has a compassionate Heart. We all miss him. Mayra Torres, MA Mass General Hospital

I have been a patient of Dr Cruz for over a year. I am a retired doctor with a complicated health history. I find him to be very though and compassionate. I am surprised by the couple people who were not happy. Dr Cruz works hard to make all his patients feel cared for. He never rushes you, and stays on top of things other doctors don't do any more, but should. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Martinez-Cruz is one of the finest physicians I have ever had the opportunity to be treated by. Aside from his vast medical knowledge and expert diagnostic abilities, he is caring and compassionate. He takes the time necessary to discuss all of my medical issues and to decide the best course of treatment. I am truly fortunate to have found a medical professional of this caliber to addend to my health care.

Best around. Have made many recommendations and everyone has made him their physician. Extremely knowledgeable, candid, compassionate, interested, engaged. Provides all the time you need, never rushed, never cut off. Great person to have on your healthcare team, guiding through some of the toughest times in your life.

met with dr cruz a year ago…recently i went to the hospital on a sunday for a problem and..they did nothing….went to dr cruz the next day and in 5 minutes he knew what it was. This guy is awesome….a real good doctor who is there for you not your money !!! i feel extremely comfortable with him and asking him anything…what a great group to with ..i have no doubts…HE IS THE BEST !!!!

Took one look at me on the examining table and diagnosed a hernia. This was overlooked by my last 2 GP's. He takes his time to listen to you and addresses any concerns you may have.

Dr. Cruz did not listen to my medical issues. When I clarified the issues with him and his staff, by phone, they still would not address my needs. There seems to be miscommunication amongst his staff and even if they have incorrect information, they will not take measures to correct it. Wait time for my appointment was 90 minutes. No reason given as to the long wait. Do yourself a favor , keep looking for another doctor who will listen to you.

I am a patient of Dr. Martinez-Cruz and feel lucky to have such a caring and knowledgeable Doctor. He is understanding, doesn't rush you in and out, takes time to listen to your concerns and helps you. He really has changed my outlook on my health! I highly recommend him.

Always very caring and supportive. Takes his time with each patient. Very up to date on new research. We have gone to him for twelve years and find that he is the best internist we've had.

My husband and I have both been very satisfied with our treatment with Dr. Martinez-Cruz. He ALWAYS takes the time to go over our records and conditions. He takes all the time necessary to explain what is going on in laymans terms so we can understand what esactly is going on. He goes over medication lists each and every time and explains to us why he orders any additional meds an what the purpose is for. He takes as much time as needed to ensure we know what the issues are. He is fantastic
