I went to Dr. Liess for an irritating tongue issue. He declined to even give me a possible diagnosis of the problem without a somewhat painful tongue biopsy. Luckily, I saw my oral surgeon later that week and asked him to take a look. He immediately said Geographic Tongue which allowed me to throw away $30 of antifungal tablets (useless) and cancel the biopsy. I am so grateful to have escaped that procedure and saved a lot of money since I would not have met the deductible. I would never make an appointment with this doctor.

My Husbands hearing issues
My husband has been suffering with hearing loss for many years due to noise exposure from his job. The staff made the appointment quickly, answered all of his questions and calmed his anxiety right over the phone. He was seen and with help from the audiology department was in a trial pair of hearing aids until his order came in. He was seen, fitted with hearing aids within 3 weeks. He is extremely happy and I got my voice back.

am very disappointed in the services of this office. Dr Liess sent me for an MRI and it was 12 days after he received the report before he called me, even though the results could be something that could be serious. During that time I called the office 3 times and sent a message through the patient portal but still didn’t get a call back from either the Dr or his office staff. When he finally called me he said he never had been told about the phone calls. When asked when he had read the MRI report he couldn’t tell me. When you call the office you always have to leave a message, so if you don’t get a call back it’s impossible to communicate with them.

terrible rapport
First question to me was, "What can I do for you?"...... I was there for him to tell me. As my answer was," I don't know", that was essentially the end of our meeting.

EXCELLENT Physician and Staff
A fast growing Rt nasal blockage impeded my breathing. My PCP determined it urgent, contacted an ENT specialist who, without seeing me, downgraded it to non emergency, with a 3 months out initial visit! I asked for another referral. Dr Leiss was able to see me within 2 weeks/pre op CAT scan, surgery and first post-op visit all performed within 1 month. There was no pain, nor need of pain meds. I followed Dr Leiss’s post op protocols to the tee! He was professional, informative, very kind, as was his ENTIRE staff! My breathing has improved extensively. He removed 2 lg nasal polyps and over 1doz sinus polyps! Recovery has been methodical as predicted. I couldn’t be any happier! I saw the best in this man and our rapport was like old friends, (me being much older!)…

We met with Dr. Liess twice before he got around to telling us he doesn't even do the kind of surgery my husband needs. His practice seems limited to selling hearing aids. He refused to give us any help identifying a doctor that does do the surgery -- said we needed to go to Boston which we have since learned is not so.

Condescending, no care for patients
Dr Liess started our interaction with no introduction and flew into the room like he was ready for a fight. He frequently interrupted me, scoffed at suggestions I'd received from other doctors and professionals and constantly talked about what fit into what "he does for a living". Our interaction felt entirely transactional and I've never left a doctor's office feeling so uncared for and unheard. This man clearly doesn't care for his patients, and cares more about how many appointments he can squeeze into a day than showing empathy for the actual outcome of the humans he sees. I am honestly shocked that he was recommended by my PC and will certainly be providing feedback to them.

Dr LEISScould not have been more professional, kind and compassionate. My husband had day surgery and Dr. LEISS explained the procedure, the time involved and answered all my questions . He is absolutely terrific. No hesitation what so ever in recommending him.

Dr Liess saw us multiple times and I would never be able to recommend him to anyone. His bedside manner is awful, he puts profits over the patient (we had insurance issue from his visits, insurance said it was a coding problem and he called me himself to get paid!!!), and he’s the least professional doctor I’ve met.

DO NOT SEE THIS MAN!!! He caused irreparable damage to my sons ears. I’m horrified he opened a single practice and has no oversight. He told me and my sons PCP that he took my sons tubes out. Numerous infections and visits later, always told tubs were out. Brought son to PCP. Tubes has been left in an extra year than the first time he told us they were out. He also vacuumed out sons ear and caused a hole in the ear drum. We worked with the medical director of his precious employer because things were so bad. Dr. Leiss was also very rude and condescending. When asked for a referral for a second opinion, he got quite irritated. If you question if you should see him, follow your gut and do not.

I was sent to him for a consult. He decided post nasal drip was my problem. He was wrong. So wrong. He said he didn’t like my allergist so he sent me to a specialist in Boston, who, after reviewing my records said she agreed 100% with my allergist and advised me to find a new ENT. He was rude, dismissive and basically laughed when I told him my symptoms.

I had nasal surgery in December and was asked to come back for follow up visits. Dr. Liess advised me (3 times) that I would not be charged for the follow up visits. I was billed for a visit on 1/3/18 because he used a scope to look at the extent of healing. He charges $1434 and I must pay $225.10. Disappointed when someone says one thing and does another

Excellent visit with Dr LIess yesterday. Wait time in waiting room was 5 mins and in exam room was nil. Dr Liess was courteous, professional and friendly. He answered all our questions, and we were thrilled he was not eager to rush us to surgery. Everything was well documented in portal. His clinical assistant, Debbie, also represented InterMed very well.

He spent less than 10 minutes with me, did nothing for me except upset me and leave me in tears then I was charged $445, for a level 4 new consult, OUTRAGEOUS! I am a nurse and never had an issue paying a bill for services until now. I called the office manager who apologized but did nothing. My hubby and daughter came with me. It's sad when a 12 y.o. says to me "you know more about (my condition) it than he does". DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! Intermed has lowered their standards by employing him!
