Excellent Surgeon
Dr. Rosenbaum did emergency surgery on my husband last Christmas Eve. He is a very competent surgeon and an excellent communicator. Would highly recommend him!

Disappointing! I am not sure why some of the clinics are having patients see their nurse practitioner first, only to have the doctor grace us with his presence for 2 minutes afterwards, but in my case it was a very disappointing visit. Dr. Rosenbaum came in gave me a lesson in how to put on a mask (I was already in the process of pulling it up), then asked me a question about an orthopedic garment I was wearing (which came across in a rather rude way), then, asked me the same (two) questions as the N.P. did, but he did not address anything! He did not go over my EMG report or ANYTHING else. He spent 2 minutes with me and probably made $500. These "doctors" need to be called out. They act like they are gods walking on water....they are not. This was a total waste of time.

Thorough and conservative
Staff support is excellent, Dr. Rosenbaum is very knowledgeable, reviews all records, is conservative in his treatment and is concerned about the patient's understanding of conditions, procedures and options available. Very willing to answer questions. Calls are returned promptly, conservative approaches are strongly encouraged before proceeding toward surgical solutions.

Dr. Rosenbaum was an excellent surgeon. He took time to go over the diagnosis clearly and treatment options. My surgery went well and discharged the next day without complications. I was able sit, stand and move on my own in just a day after my procedure. Jean Morello, PA, was very knowledgeable and shows willingness to listen and discuss. Her presence at the Operating Room made me feel at ease. The staff members were always helpful and kind. They ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up.

I have seen this man twice for low back issues. Both times I left his office wondering why I had come. The second time I saw him I left feeling like a drug adddicted, hypochondriac that could not make my own medical decisions. I have been on serious pain meds since August and in November all he did when I expressed my desire to be able to cease the pain meds was to increase the dosage of one of the pain meds. I have fired the man and will never go back to him or his office. I’m have never been treated so horribly by a medical doctor. At one point during the visit, I had to tell hm that he was the one that went to medical school and would he please help me. No one should ever have to ask a surgeon that question. He did not want to help me and he was very unhappy that I did not bring someone else to my appointment.

Dr. Rosenbaum was thorough in answering my questions and explained all my options for treatment (L4/L5 herniated disc). I was very impressed with the level of professionalism and attention I received beginning with the quick reply to the referral my primary doctor sent and throughout my initial consultation, surgery, and postoperative care. I am currently 1-week post-op and have nothing but good things to say about my experience; we are lucky to have such a skilled and professional doctor in AK.

I am a physician and recently shared a very complex patient with Dr. Rosenbaum. I very much appreciated his thoughtful approach to the case. My patient was ultimately managed without the need for surgery, which was a great outcome for this gentleman. Thank you Dr. Rosenbaum for your time and attention to detail. Anchorage is lucky to have you!

We found Dr. Rosenbaum to be thorough and very sensitive to our daughters situation. He consulted with other doctors and gave suggestions for second opinions. We appreciated his honesty with us along the way and felt that he had our daughter's best outcome in mind. From initial concerns to diagnosis to surgery and then recovery his staff was readily available, was great about returning calls and addressing any concerns we had.
