Dr. Bruckner has been my Gastroenterologist since I moved tho Spartanburg. He has performed several colonoscopies and esophageal scope on me. Each time he has been attentive to my needs and concerns. Dr. Bruckner took time to listen to my explanations about my conditions. When it came to performing the exams, he kept my wife informed. Following teach exam he came in and explained to me what he’d done and what he’d found. Following each procedure his staff followed up with me either the next day or the day after. I do recommend him to people who need gastrointestinal help. He is very professional and to the point.

Worst bedside manners of any doctor I’ve ever seen
I initially went to see Dr. Bruckner because I had lost 40 pounds over the course of 12 months with no explanation and was having stomach pains and loose stools for months. He did do an endoscopy that found excessive bile but no other issues. I was injured in combat in 2013 and have had 19 surgeries. I am in constant pain and do have to take pain medication. During our first visit, he told me that my condition was probably because “all the pain pills I take”. I’ve been taking this medication since 2013 and I’ve had no issues. I’ve never abused medication or ever ran out. He was very rude and dismissing with my concerns. He agreed to give me TPN to see if I could get back to my suggested ideal weight of 184lbs. There were no follow up visits made, just TPN. Another issue was my home healthcare nurse needed in order to continue changing my PICC line bandage. She had a very tough time getting a new order to continue providing me with care and the office told her that I needed to come in

He was rude, he told me the reason I had abdomen pain and irritable bowel disease was because I was fat I’m sorry but skinny people have these issues as well. And when he came into the room at my first visit he didn’t introduce himself he started reading a pamphlet that was in the room. Very unprofessional! Will NEVER go to this office again!!

First he didn’t even bring my chart in the room I had to keep reminding him of easy details like age. Second, he didn’t even address what concerns brought me there. He was too busy fat shaming me being overweight. His bedside manner was terrible. I will be finding someone else to go to. Do not waste your time here.

I left a review yesterday describing the horrible experience I had after having my esophagus stretched. Surprisingly (?), it’s gone.now. The main culprit in my situation was Stacey, Dr Bruckner’s office nurse. She has no feelings for Dr Bruckner’s patients. She will not work with them - no matter the urgency. Like I originally stated, she needs to be fired, as she has a heart of stone. NOTE: I think it’s very odd that my original review just disappeared into thin air. It was on here last evening. But, gone today! Maybe it was due to it being lengthy, to say the least, as I made sure I covered every detail that took place.

It was terrible. First, he didn't bother to listen to me, but relied on what my PCP had sent him. Second, his beside manner was nonexistent; as he left me in my exam room, moved on to another patient, and about 20 minutes later a nurse came in to clean the room. Third, he is a Spartanburg Regional doctor now and he sent my lab work to a facility outside of the Regional lab. My insurance will not pay this, as it's not within our Network. He needs to come up with $745 and pay American Molecular Laboratories, in Vernon Hills, IL before I go to the head of SRHS.

I've seen Many doctors while trying to diagnose my gastrointestinal problems. NEVER have I encountered Anyone in the health care profession, Especially not a Doctor, that has such a terrible doctor-patient repatoire (actually there was None) He spoke and when I tried to ask a question or speak, he'd either cut me off or just WALK OUT OF THE ROOM & Shut the door, while I was in mid sentence. He is Beyond terrible. Please Do Not waste your time, money or Risk your Health with a visit to him!!

Dr "Arrogant" Bruckner is horrible. DO NOT SEE HIM!!! He is just plain rude and makes you feel like you isolated in your disease or that you are overreacting to your experience and that you need to tough it out. 100% HATE this man. Learning you have a life-long illness and then putting up with a doctor who doesn't give any regard to your wellness is worrisome. He is incompetent and I strongly believe he prescribed my husband a medication that he didn't even need.
