The most terrible neurosurgeon alive
This “ neurosurgeon” failed in so many areas. I had had head surgery done prior to seeing him and he couldn’t even tell me I had head surgery! Wasn’t that in your basic medical school doctor Lobo? One month later I see an MD and a nurse who both saw easily with Dr. Lobo failed to see. I would describe him as an egomaniac and a terrible excuse for a neurosurgeon

Very thorough
I went in to see him for severe back spasms and pains that were unexplainable. He was very thorough. He ordered scans, compared the two and insisted that I be admitted into the hospital for further test so doctors could hopefully find the root of the problem. Thanks for caring enough to not just send me away in pain without further testing.

I visited Dr. Lobo for a third opinion on my cervical spine, and he was definitely the best of the three. He gave me plenty of time to explain my situation, and provided important information and analysis so I can better understand my symptoms. I will not be proceeding to surgery now, but my primary care doctor and neurologist both said he comes highly recommended and has a good reputation.

Showed compassion for my injury and provided me with the resources I needed to understand my situation better. I felt like a patient and not a means of collecting a paycheck. If he wasn't a specialist, I would make him my primary.

There was not a lengthy wait time. Dr. Lobo was patient, yet thorough. He knew more about my past surgeries than I was aware of. He knew exactly what I needed and did not include surgery. I was relieved.

I just had my 3 month post-op check up. I am so pleased with the results of my surgery. No more pain and numbness in my leg that I had been living with for years. I had a hemi-laminectomy. Dr. Lobo showed me a model of the spine and explained exactly what he did in the procedure....took out some bone spurs and overgrown cartilage. Since my recovery was so good he said with a smile that he didn't want to see me again unless i had some other issue. But he seriously said if I developed any issues from my procedure, to call him right away. I couldn't recommend Dr. Lobo any higher. He is an excellent surgeon and uses the most advanced techniques. He is not a surgery happy doc and he told me in my initial consultation that he would rather not do surgery on someone if there was another treatment option. In my case, this was the best option and I had excellent results!!! Every case is different, but don't be afraid of surgery. It is much better than surgery in the past.

I went for my appointment to see Dr. Lobo today. I think the world of him. So knowledgeable and compassionate. When I walked into the office this afternoon, Diana was up front to greet me. What a sweetheart she is. Always has a smile on her face. She’s very kind and caring. If you’re ever in the need to see a neurosurgeon, you need to go see Dr. Lobo and his wonderful staff!

I have been extremely satisfied with Dr. Lobo since my first visit to his office for my neck/disc issues. The staff in the office were very helpful. Tim, the PA gave me some initial peace after discussing the reason for my visit. Dr. Lobo took the time to discuss all of the issues that were identified in my MRI and explained the options. Dr. Lobo did surgery on my neck and everything went well. He told me to call him if I had any questions/issues/pain after the surgery..... well I was having some pain and called his office and the staff took my message and to my surprise Dr. Lobo called me back within an hour to discuss the issue...…. I said to "my surprise" in the beginning of this sentence because my past experience in getting a return phone call from a Dr. within a day or even at all has been negative. My overall experience with Dr. Lobo has been outstanding!

I felt confident with his care right from the beginning. He is very knowledgeable, respects his patients, spends time to understand the issue, shows great concern to address it, and tries to provide appropriate solutions. He possesses several essential characteristics that are becoming uncommon in medical professionals these days. I highly recommend Dr. Lobo.
