Dr. Boyd Manges, MD

My hubby goes to Doctor Manges, and he has been a life savior! Very smart man and does care about his patiences, he goes above and beyond!

Dr. Manges is great! He is very smart. He took the time to listen to my concerns and talked through what I was worried about. I have been seeing him for years and I really trust his opinion. Thanks doc.

Unfortunately my experience has been the same as the 3 visable reviews. I've considered writing him a personal letter basicly stating similar issues. I have 2 friends who regret seeing him. The service was better a few years ago but has gotten harder and takes forever to get in usually. He has made mental health "in my head" comments to me too and he was my Dr who treated my original chronic illnesses. I get people may need mental health care but not as an "alternative" to treating your other issues. Other issues that he has gotten worse about instead of better. He kept prescribing meds that I told him didnt work and made things worse. I quit filling them more than once. Told me treatment wasn't available for a certain thing then I was so sick I called places myself. Still needed referal from him but I found someone within 15 minutes that could help. You must advocate for yourself very heavily and as someone stated he really does not appreciate it.

God forbid if you have any insight of your own health/body....Even moreso if you are educatied, Dr Magnus does not take kindly to patients with a brain, Esecially if you have knowledge of anything that he is obviously unfamiliar with. He will attempt to belittle and condecend in his own defense. Going to Dr Magnus reminded me of how doctors treated patiens 30 years ago. He has an outdated approach that does not include a relationship where you actually discuss tests, a plan & treatment options

I have never seen a more disorganized office in my life Dr. patient communication about Nolan void his office is very on organized his staff is very unknowledgeable And it takes weeks to get an appointment to actually see Dr. Magnus His nurse “ Will call you back with no knowledge of the appointment that you just had with them None of them ever listen to the patients In my eyes I would never recommend going to this doctors office not even to my dog Who actually gets better healthcare

Has never read my chart before entering, has not talked to my therapist to see what meds I'm on and has frequently made dire mistakes on my controller meds, like my meds for depression after I was kidnaped. So would I recommend him? He could care less about his patient. He's just there for a paycheck

Dismissed my chronic illness and decided I had mental health problems instead. Needs to be educated on listening to patients who know more about their bodies than he does. I was very taken back by his unhelpful attitude. I will never go back.
