Awful
I went in to my appt for first time with this doctor. I have worked with other doctors in the practice for over 10 years, they have always been AMAZING. First time seeing her and the experience was the worst I have had in my life. She rushed through and didnt even finish checking the things I needed checked. Then she wouldnt answer a question that I had, which was a simple yes or no answer. Finally, her ego was way bigger than her actual care for patients in my opinion.

Dr. Brak is wonderful
Dr Brak is a no nonsense smart as a whip Doctor. I respect her a lot. Her receptionist or whoever answers the phone in the morning is abrupt, unfriendly, completely not empathic, and sometimes downright mean sounding.

I've been a patient of Dr Brak for about 20 years. I think she's become so busy and overbooked, that she doesn't have the time to be thorough with each patient anymore. I was rushed through my last physical and didn't have the time or opportunity to address some concerns. There just isn't that doctor-patient caring relationship anymore.

Dr. Brak is great if you can overlook the mean staff that check you in and make you feel like a criminal if you forget to bring your insurance card (even though you were there last week and nothing has changed). Also, don't try to get any help from their "medical assistant" she will tell you to go to the emergency room without even offering to make an appt for you.

My family has seen Dr. Brak for 25 years until we moved to Texas. But I am willing to fly back to Illinois to see her. That is how much I trust this doctor! I have never seen a doctor who has spent more time explaining things to me and my family, has such caring and concern for us and has diagnosed problems faster and accurately than anyone else!

I've been a patient of Dr Brak for more than 24 years because she is awesome. You're never rushed during an appointment and she listens to all of your concerns. She makes sure you understand what you've been told about what you're being seen for. Dr Brak has a genuine concern for your health.

Several years ago I was a patient of Dr. Derken. At that time I had been on Medicare disability for several years. Arriving for an appt. with Dr. Derken one day I was advised I would see Dr. Brak. At the visit Iwith Dr. Brak I was advised that I COST THE OFFICE MONEY any time I came in and was no longer welcome as a patient in their office. I was not permitted to see Dr. Derken and no longer welcome in the office as a patient. I would not consider this MD if you have complicated med. issue
