Dr. Betts was very kind, confident and conscientious in helping me with my lense replacement and also my cataract surgery. I highly recommend him!

I delayed cataract surgery because I did not know the best doctor. Then I found Dr. Brent Betts. My lucky day. His skills in the surgery suite are superior (read his impressive bio and resume). Everyone there praises his skills. Dr. Betts responded to and answered all my questions and concerns in a way I could understand. He had time for me. He and his team at the surgery center made feel safe and valued. My eyeballs were important to the whole crew. Dr. Betts has eyes that sparkle and twinkle.....Maybe that is a reason he specialized in eyes. I finally had cataract surgery and I thank goodness for Dr. Betts.

Dr. Betts, is one of my luckiest finds as far as my medical team goes. He's truly the best I always tell him,"If I were your Mother, I'd be so proud of you!" (Not to be weird, but he's about my son's age). He is of great character, personable, remarkably trained, he is the absolute best Opthalmologist I've ever seen. Our community is indeed blessed to have his excellent talents to benefit so many others. He's helped me far more than any of my previous eye Dr's, as I have a rare, complex disease that dramatically affects my eyes in many devastating ways. I am extremely grateful for his care. Very disappointing. He barely spent any time with me (10 minutes at the most), did not ask me any questions or listen to my concerns, was very flippant and rushed. He barely took time to answer my questions. I am 83 years old and drove 180 miles to see him. I definitely would not recommend him or see him again. Dr. Harf, who worked there, was so fabulous and was the total antithesis to Dr. Betts but sadly Dr. Harf has retired. Also Dr. Harf just dealt with retinal problems. Additionally the reading glasses that was prescribed by Dr. Betts are giving me double vision reading. Whether that is due to a faulty prescription or if the lens was not properly made, I am still exploring.

Dr. Betts did cataract surgery on both eyes and I am able to see distance so clearly without glasses, truely amazing. He is very professional and explained everything so I would understand. The staff was so happy, helpful and very organized, it was so reassuring that I was in good hands. I would highly recommend Dr. Betts and staff if you want the best care for your eyes.

Dr. Betts is fantastic! He did my PRK a couple of years ago and it’s been amazing! So nice to see without glasses or contacts. He spent time talking with me about LASIK vs PRK for me and was honest about what kind of outcome I could expect. I appreciate honesty in doctors. He truly wanted to do what would be best for me and my eyes. Dr. Betts was very friendly and knowledgeable and an excellent surgeon. His staff is also kind, helpful, and cheerful which I think says a lot about who they work for! I’ll definitely continue to see Dr. Betts for any eye concerns I have and I recommend him to everyone I know who needs an eye doctor.

Dr. Betts is the best eye doctor! He talks you through the whole surgery process. He also volunteers abroad and saves sight in distant locations! Very relaxing and I trust in him and his skills completely.

I have an extremely complicated prescription. Moved to Idaho mid 2015 and had to find new doctor. Dr. Betts is the 2nd one I tried. He was spot on my prescription the first try. It took only 3 weeks to gets my corrective glasses as opposed to 4 months with another doctor’s office. I am sooooo happy! By the way, every one of his office staff is top notch and very knowledgeable as well. I definitely would recommend Dr. Betts. Thank you!

He was terrible. Condescending. Didn't listen to me. His plan of action for my eye care was really scary. He talked to me as if he didn't even read my chart of read the referral that was sent to him regarding my issue. Stay away from this guy.

Dr Betts is truly one of the nicest doctors I’ve ever seen. He took lots of time to explain things to me and the outcome of surgery was more than could be expected. I feel like a young man again. Highly recommend to anyone wanting the best in ophthalmology in Idaho.
