The Best of the Best
I went to Baylor McKinney with what I thought was a pulled muscle, but the pain became so severe I couldn’t even stand. When I arrived, the staff worked like a well-oiled machine—professionals, efficient, and kind. Initial tests showed slight disc movement but nothing alarming, so I was sent home with meds. Two days later, I was back, barely able to walk. That’s when Dr. Brent Morgan stepped in. After reviewing my scans, he told me straight: a bone fragment was pressing into my spinal cord with only .38 wiggle room, and one wrong move could leave me paralyzed. His honesty was refreshing, and his confidence reassuring. Dr. Morgan and his team performed a four-hour surgery, and I couldn’t be more impressed—minimal scarring, thorough follow-up, and clear communication throughout my recovery. He’s not just skilled—he genuinely cares. I would recommend Dr. Morgan and his team 100 times over—hands down, one of the best neurosurgeons in Texas. The care I received at Baylor was top-notch!

Not a Dr for everyone
Was referred by another Dr to Dr Morgan , I will say he is not a conversationalist ,he appears a bit callous But makes up for it in His skill. He is short and to the point and if thats your thing he is your man . His Assistant is good as well. I had surgery with the man and if I need more he would be my first choice .

Knows His Stuff and Keeps on Stuffing
Dr. Morgan performed 4 neurosurgeries on my cervical spine. I have severe cervical stenosis on the right side, inherited from my father who became paralyzed in his right and endured severe pain. Dr. Morgan carefully removed osteophytes from my cervical spine and eventually fused it C3-C7. He patiently cared for me and did not rush this very delicate condition. I no longer have any pain in my cervical spine and only minor restrictions in head movement. Dr. Morgan is a true World Class Super Doc. His team of MAs and NPs are the best.

Dr. Brent Morgan was the worst surgeon I have ever encountered. He did a surgery that was absolutely unnecessary which has caused many problems in my back. DO NOT USE HIM. You will be very sorry.

I had surgery by another dr. & went to dr. brent for a different option. I don't think he wanted me for a patient. his assistance suggested I use the dr I had used before. I was not really given any info, except I had a lot of hardware in my neck. they gave me a choice of injections in my back or therapy. I choose the injections, but there was not any follow up on scheduling them until I called the dr. office back, The first injection I had no one talked to me before, during or after.

Dr. Morgan took time to explain my options to me and my wife. He does not "push" for surgery when not needed and takes a conservative approach. He made us feel very good about our decisions.

Dr. Morgan asks a lot of questions and he allows you to ask a lot of questions! He takes his time to ensure that he understands your concerns. My wife first used Dr. Morgan a couple of years ago and we have recommended the doctor to a friend who met with him and thanked us for recommending him.

After moving to Garland four years ago, I began searching for new doctors, including a neurosurgeon for my husband. The thought of picking a doctor from an insurance book was pretty scary. Luckily for us, a family friend, familiar with doctors in the area, recommended Dr. Morgan. We liked him right away and was impressed with his medical knowledge and ability to find just the right treatment for my husband! We are so thankful to have found such an exceptional doctor!!!

I have known Dr Morgan 20+ years as a Registered Nurse who would take care of his patients post surgery and now I am the patient. I would not consider any other neurosurgeon to assess me or make decisions in the care of my back. Dr Morgan has proven to me over the past 20+ years he is an outstanding physician in neurosurgery.

Long story short I was a trama patient, he tried something knew on me and it failed. My spine never fused and 1 year later my screws broke. I never got better always experiencing extreme pain. His answer was well you broke your back its always going to be this way. His post op care is the real reason for this review. There was absolutely none. He didn't have any notes from my visits. He was short, rushed, and did not care. He didn't even know how many weeks out I was from surgery.
