Dr. Brent Sloten, DO

The receptionist makes no effort to validate that your insurance will cover your office visit/procedure. I called twice, before my appointment, and was told that I was covered. Whether it is lack of effort or incompetence, they make no effort to perform their job, above a minimal level. They do not return calls, when you call to question your biil and they will send you to collections, when you disagree, with no notice that they are doing so. The office staff seems ill equipped to perform their job and why I would never go back or recommend Pinnacle Dermatology in Gilbert.

Beware, they will try to commit insurance fraud by double dipping with payments, Carolyn will bill insurance the full cost and then tell the patient that they have to cover the full cost since insurance refused to pick it up. The AG has been notified.

I am very satisfied with both Dr. Sloten professionalism as well as their staff. I have recommended his services to my friends.

Dr Sloten is professional and very knowledgeable. He listens to me about any concerns I have - I have a history of basal cell carcinomas, so I see Dr Sloten every 6 months and he always asks if I have any concerns before my exam. I would highly recommend Dr Sloten to other patients.

The doctor was fine but he needs to get organized in their billing department. Nobody likes to pay an extra 209 dollars just because they didnt send the bill out until 18 months after the appointment. So of course my insurance wouldnt pay their half and in the end it falls back to me. I did nothing wrong but I have to pay for their mistake. I even went back in the next day to be sure everything was settled. They assured me that they bill insurance directly and I didnt need to worry.

KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS FOR 7 YEARS or YOU COULD BE BILLED AGAIN!! NOT TRUST WORTHY - VERY UNPROFESSIONAL BILLING MANAGER (CAROLYN). I paid in full, then 6 months later received a statement for the same date/amount. I was told if I couldn't find my receipt, the State of AZ was on their side. I overheard Carolyn, billing manager, tell another employee she doesn't believe me and wishes I would just leave. She rolled her eyes at me and said this was a good lesson for me to learn (not to pay cash).

Dr. Sloten IS FRIENDLY AND KNOWS HOW TO TREAT ISSUE OF THE SKIN. I HAVE A GREAT DEAL OF TRUST IN WHAT HE SAYS. HE HAS TREATED MY SKIN ISSUE FOR SEVERAL YEARS.
