I saw Dr. Apatoff ten years ago. He gave me too much prednisone. Now I have osteopenia and horrible neuropathy in my feet. One year I couldn’t walk at all. Now I see a different neurologist I am happy to say. I hope this helps you decide what is best for you and your care.

I have been seeing Dr. Apatoff since 2006 since I've been diagnose with M.S. Anyone who has been seeing him as long as I have, or longer, knows that he takes his time with his patients and is one of the last few Doctor's who sincerely cares for his patient's health and not about insurance or money. I do agree that the wait may take long, but he is the Chief of Neurology, and is well worth the wait; in my opinion. You know he's good at what he does when you get a second opinion, and that doctor tells you, "stay with your doctor; he seems he know what he's talking about." I will never second guess him again. You have a long term left threatening disease... be patient and enjoy life, you only have one.

The best Doctor that I have seen in this field. Took him and his team 15 minutes to determine I had MS after going through 7 months of testing only to hear that I needed a second opinion because the Doctors that I was seeing wouldn't give me an answer. Dr. Apatoff is straight forward with you, and is concerned about your Health and lifestyle to help you live better with this Disease. even living with MS it is always a pleasure to see him. AAA+++ The Best!!

Dr. Apatoff clearly doesn't care about his patients. I had an appointment today that he canceled last minute because his 'flight was delayed'. First of all, why didn't his receptionist call and let me know that he was going to be a no show? I explained to his receptionist that it had not only taken me an hour to get to his office but that I took time off of work for my appointment. She came back offering me an appointment 'for next week.' Unacceptable behavior for a professional!

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Apatoff?
Refused to refill a prescription, insisting I come into the office for a follow-up exam. I told him I didn't understand what new information a medical examination would yield in regards to my anxiety, could not afford to take the time off of work or afford a co-pay just for a refill, and that my anxiety remained the same. He told me that the time and money I would need to spend were "irrelevant" and implied overtly that I was trying to take advantage. UNREAL.

Dr. Apatoff is absolute the best of best! Knowledgeable and caring. Her is there for patients and return their calls very quickly regardless of having too many patients. He has been my doctor for the past 10 years. I am not a type of person who would go with any doctor. I am rather very selective and stay with a doctor if and only if I am happy with his/her expertise and that caring dimension that, to me, is a prerequisite in doctor-patient relationship! To me he is an outstanding physician!

Dr Apatoff is hands down the best neurologist/diagnostician I've seen. He's knowledgeable about a wide spectrum of treatments and old and new medications related to neurological and other autoimmune diseases; aggressive with treatment when its necessary and then, just as important, conservative with meds when they have done their job; down to earth, droll and straight forward, while at the same time compassionate, he has kept me healthy for more than 15 years. I cannot recommend him enough!
