Dr. Brian Baggott, MD

Lazy Medicine. Dr. Baggott is very dismissive and condescending. He did no examination of me, aside from quickly touching my abdomen after I requested it right before he walked out the door. Exact same for two appointments. He didn't even check for the cause of my groin pain which seemed like a routine check. He also did not exam my rear. I came to him because I was unhappy with my last gastro doc. I am in horrible pain daily to the point that I am desperate for help and willing to drive 6 hours round trip for these appointments. The first appointment Dr Baggott ordered a couple normal tests looking for an easy answer. I finally called the Cleveland Clinic and ask for a follow up with a different doctor after months of nothing. They sent me back to him. In this last appointment all he did was summarize the notes from my previous gastro doc. There was zero concern for my health. I felt his only goal was to get me in and out of his office as quick as possible. He is there for a paycheck.

This doctor has no interest in his patients. He didn’t bother to get back to you with test results, you have to look them up yourself and even interpret them because he doesn’t call you. He was dismissive when I told him I was having bleeding from my bowels with a prior life threatening bleed and he told me to see a gynecologist ! He wouldn’t even see me in person - only video visits, so I was never examined. When he couldn’t come up with a diagnosis another doctor did which for some bizarre reason made him very angry and he reported his own patient to his own patient ombudsman department. He probably knew a complaint would be coming down the pipeline about him. Talk about an ego problem and lack of empathy for your patient ! I found another doctor who was kind and caring and it turns out I have a very serious illness for which I’m now under an oncologist. Like others on here have said “Stay away ! “

Saw this Doctor at Cleveland Clinic and it was the biggest waste of time and money. Shows little to no interest in patient and there is NO follow up. Had to email and call before his secretary got back to me. She had no medical background and all literature regarding tests specifically state a Doctor must give you all results. Stay away

Very very very dismissive and unorganized. I regret seeing him.
