Although I'm fully insured, he did not order an MRI that would have diagnosed my condition. He misdiagnosed my problem as bursitis when I had a severe labral tendon tear diagnosed during a 2nd opinion. His solution was 2 rounds of PT which made the condition worse and more painful, and prescribed cortisone shots in the hip joint every three months which would have eroded my hip bones if I had listened to him.

Extremely professional and most thorough in all aspects of my hip surgery. Dr Burroughs took the time to answer all my questions and concerns and even made a house call post surgery to see how I was doing. COuld not have asked for anyone better. Highly recommend

Dr. Burroughs did a complete hip replacement a month ago and three weeks later I was driving and walking around without a cane! The hip replaced was my right driving leg, too! I knew I was in good hands when he used to be associated with Mass General and was an engineer prior to becoming a surgeon. I would HIGHLY recommend him. He has a wonderful bedside manner and I felt so comfortable with him and the wonderful staff at St. Vincent's Hospital. He is absolutely the best!
