Yes I would recommend Dr Sung. I had my VSG with Dr Sung on Oct 5, 2020 and have lost 100 pounds. I’m no longer diabetic and I don’t have high blood pressure anymore. Weight loss saved my life in March, 2021 when I had pneumonia from COVID. And I’m less likely to have breast cancer like my mom and sister. It isn’t easy, but best decision you can make for *your* healthier self.

Dr. Sung was the most patient, caring, skilled, and thorough medical professional I've ever dealt with. He made sure I was well-informed, and felt comfortable through every step of the preparatioins for my RNY Gastric Bypass. On surgery day, I knew I was in the best of hands...and 2 months later, he did the same surgery on my wife. We have never had a better doctor. We knew he cared about us personally, and we had total confidence in him and his team. It was a wonderful way to experience this life-changing procedure. I have now lost 78 lbs, eliminated Type II Diabetes, and regained a level of health and vitality I did not know I could ever have again. I would recommend Dr. Sung to ANYONE...he is one of the best in his field, and I will forever be thankful that I met him.

Dr. Sung is my hero for his kindness, compassion, wealth of knowledge and obvious surgical skills. Due to a serious complication and previous nightmare with an unrelated surgery, I was more than anxious to consider having surgery again. My experience with Dr. Sung was incredible and left me full of joy and hope for my future. Not only did he take the time to go over the process for weight loss surgery, he was also patient with my long list of questions, need for transparency, and an understanding that I will be advocating for myself and wanted the same out of my surgeon. He was very thorough with possible complications and solutions should they arise. He verbalized that he would be with me along the way prior to and following surgery to best support me. I can attest to his word as he's been with me for this journey. He always makes himself available for questions, concerns, and excitement for my progress. I had a gastric sleeve in December of 2020. I weighed 215 pounds which

Dr. Brian Sung saved my life. Easy to say, right? I entrusted my better, healthier life to Dr. Sung. He performed bariatric gastric sleeve surgery. While his entire staff at SWE Hosp, Bariatrics certainly deserve credit, Dr. Sung removed my failing (not rare) lap band provided by another practice in state. I have chosen to join his new practice due to his demeanor, exceptional ratings, certainly his skill set. Most of all Dr. Sung is a straight shooter, fun to be around in consultation, however incredibly focused on his craft. I’m not the only person who would offer this top rating beginning with “Dr. Sung saved my life.” I’m grateful & awed by his expertise. Being married nearly 40 years to an RN, who also happens to have been a CNO-COO-CEO, I know a thing or two about physicians. No one held a bowl of Twinkies to my face for most of my adult life. I chose to stop working out, eat without thought, relax and recline. While I deserve credit having the surgery, Dr. Sung in fact saved me.

June 2021 was the second anniversary of my vertical sleeve surgery performed by Dr Brian Sung. I thank him for that life-changing event! For those of you who are in the pre-op processes, I hope my statistics will encourage you: Age: 79 Max weight: 412 Weight at surgery: 289 Goal weight: 215 Current weight: 207 I am feeling great and am off of all medications. October 2018, my wife and I attended a surgical weight loss seminar hosted by Dr. Brian Sung. We were impressed with his academic and training credentials, the effort and dedication required to achieve his level of expertise, but even more, his humility and the sense that he truly cares about the welfare of his patients. The surgery went smoothly and post-op, I had no abdominal pain. I want to thank him again for his professionalism, his skill, his humility, and above all, his true caring. Dr. Sung is the crown jewel of all the physicians that I have known during my lifetime.

Dr. Sung performed a runix “y” gastric bypass surgery on my wife in spring of 2019 at Sweedish in Seattle WA. His bedside manner was good and he was easy to talk to. Unfortunately, the reason why we would never recommend him to anyone, was his decision to leave my wife’s gall bladder in, when it’s removal to prevent future complication, is actually a common practice done by most bariatric surgeons.. Now that 2 years of constant dumping after every meal, nausea after consuming ANYTHING (even water), acid reflux so bad that her dose of omeprazole had to be DOUBLED just ONE day after her bypass and onward, we finally had her gall bladder removed by a surgeon who also (amongst our other doctors) was baffled as to why it wasn’t removed in the first place. ALL of her symptoms are now GONE.. “Her gall bladder looked fine, so i left it in” are Dr. Sung’s exact words to me after he got done performing surgery on my wife. The next 2 years following, have been horrible for her.. Not impressed.

Great, compassionate doctor. I can't thank him enough for helping with my lap band reversal. My only complaint is in getting in touch with his office. You often have to leave a message and even then you're lucky to get a call back. I had a medicine question and it was 4 days before I received a call from them.

Extremely easy to talk to. Concerned, actually responds to messages left in MyChart. Knowledgable and patient. Explains things thoroughly. I was very aprehensive about the whole gastric bypass experience. He put me at ease. It was MUCH easier than I anticipated and I was not sick like I thought I would be. A very positive experience
