I was injured at work and my employers insurance company didn’t like my original Drs 30% disability rating so they forced me to get a second opinion with Dr. Torre. My appointment with Dr. Torre lasted barely 15 mins and somehow he got a 7% disability rating. This allows the insurance company to pay significantly less out of pocket to me. The insurance company gets to choose the Dr. I drove two hours for a 15 min exam. I don’t know how Dr. Torre was able to assess me and give me a huge decrease in disability rating in just 15 minutes.

I came in due to a pain in my forearm. Dr. Torre diagnosed it as an inflamed bursa. He gave me a cortisone shot.

I just moved here from Tennessee and had seen a hand surgeon there whom I liked very much so I was somewhat anxious about seeing a new doctor. Dr. Torre and his staff were professional, courteous, on time and made the visit a very good one. He had the same diagnosis as my original doctor and did an injection in my thumb which was not bad at all and is giving me relief. Dr. Torre no longer does surgery but has a partner in his practice who does if I decide to go that route. I had surgery on my other hand about 2 years ago and developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome with which he was familiar. I have seen other doctors who were completely clueless about this so it was refreshing to encounter a physician who is kind, thorough and up to speed on some fairly recent concepts.

Dr. Torre successfully performed a basal joint arthroplasty on my left thumb back in 2010 which ultimately restored the use of my left hand and made a significant impact on my day to day life. I can't imagine what that problem would be like by now had I not chosen that procedure. Most recently, he is treating me for arthritis and tendonitis in my left wrist, and arthritis in the index and adjacent finger "knuckles" of my right hand. He always injects the areas skillfully, effectively and is a pleasant man who is not afflicted with the "doctor as god" syndrome - carefully explaining what is going on, and why. His door is always open to me. I appreciate that, being three hours away. I will continue to see Dr. Torre gladly and as needed. The guy knows hands!!

I have a lot of experience with Dr. Torre; he has operated on my hands, fingers and wrists multiple times, always with excellent results. Although he is semi-retired and no longer performs surgery, Dr. Torre is still the only ortho I will consult on matters involving my hands. Most recently I consulted Dr. Torre concerning continuing pain and swelling of a finger injured in an automobile accident. After a few seconds perusing an X-ray of the hand, he showed me a fracture the medicos in the ER had missed. Beyond his surgical and diagnostic skills, I appreciate Dr. Torre’s unhurried, relaxed manner, his listening “skills,”and his ability to describe and explain things in language anyone can understand with a minimum of arcane medical jargon. He is authoritative and unpretentious at the same time, a melding of traits conducive to fostering a feeling of confidence in a patient while putting the patient at ease. To sum up, Dr. Torre is an excellent doctor with a manner to match.

For 3 years I went to doctors, MRI’s, physical therapist, nerve testing, x-rays, prescription meds and orthopedic centers while my pain got worse with no diagnosis. Desperate for relief I went to a chiropractor and hit the jackpot, he said, “I can’t help you, but I know a guy.” That guy is Dr. Torre and his staff, they are amazing! They did one more test and scheduled surgery. The surgery was done 7 weeks ago and I am healing and doing well. Thanks Dr. Torre and his PA Lori!!

Dr. Torre did a wonderful job on my carpel tunnel surgery. He took time to explain the procedure and answer my questions. His staff were all caring and knowledgeable. When a minor issue with one of my stitches arose during my post-op visit Dr. Torre and his PA both looked at it and gave detailed instructions for at home care. I am several months out from surgery, have fully recovered with excellent results and have a barely visible scar. This is one of the most well organized offices around.

I experienced the same treatment from Dr.Torre as Melissa and her husband received . I also was refered to Dr. Torre and I also had images he refused to look at and I am quite blown away that this man has snowballed so many people into thinking he is such a great person . If Dr. Torre treats some patients better than others I suggest he reevaulate his priorities and look not at a mans skin color or tattoos and treat everyone the same regardless of race religion or sexual preferences.

If Dr. Torre was a foot specialist and would accept wv workers comp he would be my Dr right now he repaired torn tendons in my thumb some 15 years ago and he was so wonderful the entire journey of recovery. The whole orthopedic staff is. My daughter had to have her elbow fixed where it was dislocated wrestling Dr. Micah Jones could have never went more overboard in her care. From even calling to check on her recovery and explaining completely what was going to happen. Thank you all.

I have been have a lot of pain in both thumbs due to basal joint arthritis. I'm new to the area so I checked online reviews and chose Dr. Torre. When I called to make an appointment I was pleased to find I could get in within a couple of weeks. Dr Torre came in, introduced himself and gave a very thorough examination while his assistant took notes. Options were discussed, surgery or injections. I chose injections for now, surgery is a bear. If anyone has had surgery, I'd like to hear about i
