Dr. Bruce Bowers, MD

I’m a new patient of Dr Bowers but he treated my husband and myself like we were treasured patients! He is very professional but with the ease of a longtime friend!! I will recommend him to anyone who needs heart health! I’m so thankful to be his patient!

One year ago today Dr. Bowers saved my life. He’s the most amazing doctor and surgeon with a great bedside manner. He agreed to a surgery to put aartificial heart valve in me. My artery was in stenosis, and my ejection fraction went below 5% while in surgery, he got the heart valve in approximately 13 minutes. It normally takes about 20 minutes .He placed it in and my ejection fraction raised and they knew I was gonna make it, I’m so grateful for him he stayed before going off for Christmas to do my surgery. I could never recommend any other doctor .He’s a gift from God ,&the best ?10 stars! Louie Perez.

I took my father to Dr. Bowers for a valve procedure. On the day of my dad’s pre-procedure assessment, Dr. Bowers was running late. We waited for him in the exam room for over 3½ hours, past lunch, and were told by his nurse not to leave, even to get lunch. His staff is rude, and one nurse in particular seems oblivious to the patients’ needs. On the day of the procedure, Dr. Bowers ran 2 hours late, and I overheard the staff say that it was due to business. During the procedure, I waited in the waiting area for another 2 hours, while Dr. Bowers came out numerous times to talk to other families even though my dad was listed second in line on the board. Finally, I went back to the recovery area to ask a nurse about my father's status. Dr. Bowers came over when he saw me come in, told me that he was unable complete the procedure, and went on to say that my dad had had a good life! A number of highly-recognized interventional cardiologists are in the city. He is not one I would recommend.

Excellent cardiologist. He takes the time to answer questions and ensure you leave with a clear understanding of your concerns. Proactive regarding health risks and prevention. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend Dr Bowers. He is very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. Answered our questions and made me feel at ease !

Wonderful doctor, very friendly and always helpful. Never rushed always has time to answer questions and make sure you understand your treatment plan.

Went for yearly follow-up. Their social distancing practices were in place. All staff members wore masks ensuring a safe environment. Dr. Bowers is always the consummate professional when dealing with his patients, and his staff are the same.

As always, professional, timely, friendly, informative and presented showing care for patients. New facilities for testing and examination are superb.

I was very lucky to get to know Dr. Bruce Bowers one year ago in mid 2019 and to be treated by him since then from my heart problems. He is immensely gifted, capable, competent, compassionate, and has the best demeanor. Also, the office staff members are to be commended, they are professional and cordial. I highly recommend heart patients to rely on Dr. Bowers and his team without any hesitation.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN! My last visit with Dr. Bruce Bowers was excellent as always. That's why I followed him to this new location. We were very fortunate that Dr. Bowers was referred to our family during our "mini crisis." Always look forward to my visit with Dr. Bowers and his Staff. Treated so professionally and with genuine care and concern. Dr. Bowers always has something positive to say and inquires about what you have been up to and about your family. Very patient with answering my questions. I leave the appointment feeling very uplifted. So grateful and thankful that I am in the care of Dr. Bowers.

Stress test, check-up. Doc Bowers is the best. Great staff, too. He prefers yellow golf balls for their visibility.

Dr Bowers is the consummate cardiologist. I am able to write this today because of his skill and compassionate care. You will never feel rushed with Dr Bowers. During an office visit he will stay with you until he is satisfied he has answered all of your concerns. He is the best.

Dr Bowers is a very nice man and takes time to listen to you we think he’s a great doctor. He has been taking of my husband for several years. We would definitely recommend him and his staff highly.

It is always a pleasure to visit Dr. Bowers office. You are treated with kindness and respect. Dr. Bowers always takes lots of time with you to address any and all concerns you may have. And then just to have a little personal visit you. He is absolutely the BEST doctor and person we know. We truly love him! His staff is also wonderful.....

I travel over 300 miles one way to see Dr. Bowers because I feel he is the best cardiologist in my state of Texas. And he has a great bedside manner, he seems to actually care about me, as a patient not just a payment source.
