Biography: Jonathan N. Ginns, MD Dr. Ginns was born in Australia and earned his medical degree from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. He underwent his internship and residency training at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and following this adult cardiology and adult congenital heart disease fellowships at the Prince Charles Hospital also in Brisbane. Subsequently, he came to the United States to pursue an interventional cardiology fellowship at Bridgeport Hospital, Yale, New Haven Health and then adult congenital heart disease fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center in New York.Prior to joining Austin Heart, from 2017-2020 Dr. Ginns served as Associate Director of Adult Congenital Heart Diseases and Director of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York. Before joining Weill Cornell, Dr. Ginns was a full-time faculty member at Columbia University Medical Center specializing in adult congenital heart disease and was Director of their Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Program.Through the years, Dr. Ginns' research findings have been published in numerous, prestigious peer-reviewed journals such as Circulation, The Journal of American College of Cardiology, International Journal of cardiology and the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. He is a member of the Adult Congenital Heart Association where he serves on the medical advisory Board, the International Society of Adult Congenital Heart Disease and Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. Biography: Jeremy Enslein, DO, FACC, is a board certified cardiologist with Rio Grande Cardiovascular and Structural Heart in McAllen, Texas. Dr. Enslein began his medical studies at Nova-Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine graduating with a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Enslein then went on to do both his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Osteopathic Medicine Center of Texas. Dr. Enslein wrapped up his medical training by completing a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital. Dr. Enslein is fluent in both English and Spanish. Dr. Enslein is board certified by American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine with certifications in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He graduated from Stony Brook University with a B.S. degree in Biology and went on the University of Connecticut School of Medicine to obtain his medical degree. Dr. Revere went on to do his residency in Internal Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he was appointed Chief Resident and was awarded Resident Teacher of the Year as a senior resident. He then did his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at North Shore LIJ Health system, where he was honored with being chosen as Chief Cardiology Fellow. Biography: Dr. Armando Yepes, MD, FACC is an interventional cardiologist with Dallas Cardiovascular Specialists at Medical City Dallas and Medical City Las Colinas. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, vascular medicine and endovascular medicine. Dr. Yepes has been in practice in the Dallas Fort Worth area for more than 10 years, and brings 15 years of experience to Medical City Dallas. He previously held various leadership positions including Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Las Colinas Medical Center, Chairman of the Department of Cardiology at Medical City Las Colinas. Dr. Yepes attended Medical School at the Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Seora Del Rosario at Bogot, Colombia. He completed his medical internship and residency in internal medicine at University of Miami School of Medicine. Biography: Kasi Chekuri, M.D., is a board-certified Cardiologist with Corpus Christi Heart Clinic. Dr. Chekuri began his medical studies at Osmania Medical College and went on to complete his internship in Internal Medicine at Abington Hospital. Dr. Chekuri then completed both his Internal Medicine and Cardiology residency and fellowship at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Chekuri is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr.Chekuri is a member of the American Medical Association. He has been a part of an array of research, abstracts, publications, and posters throughout his career. Dr. Chekuri has been in practice since 2005 in the Corpus Christi area. He completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at Stanford University Medical Center, after which he served on the faculty before joining North Texas Heart Center in 1999. He has been on staff at Medical City since 1974 and was the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab from 1980 - 2009. Dr. Schwade has served on a number of committees at Medical City Dallas Hospital during his career and he has been the Director of Cardiology at the hospital since 1980. Dr. Schwade attended Rice University in Houston, Texas receiving his undergraduate degree in 1962. Upon graduation from the UT Southwestern Medical School with his medical degree in 1966, Dr. Schwade went on to complete his medical residency (1970-1972) and his fellowship (1972-1974) at Dallas Veterans Administration Hospital. His Cardiovascular Research fellowship was completed at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1974. Biography: Thomas Alexander, M.D., is a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist with Corpus Christi Heart Clinic. Dr. Alexander began his medical studies at Kasturba Medical College and went on to complete his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern. Dr. Alexander also completed his cardiology research and cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern. He completed his medical training with a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Temply University. Dr. Alexander is board-certified in both Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Medicine.
